Model Answer 1

Who is this person?

I have met many smart people in my life. One such person is my friend Ashish. I have been friends with him since my childhood and he is one of the smartest I know. We went to school and college together. He is my best friend and has known me through my good and bad. Whenever I was in a problem, he was the one who got me out of it. It has been a blessing to get such a friend.

What was the problem?

It was Sunday and we were having a party at home. All my friends and guests came over for dinner. My mother was preparing chicken and realized that the chicken was still in the freezer. It was totally frozen but she had already started to make preparations. Time was limited and it was just 30 minutes until dinner time. Everyone was hungry. My mother just panicked. She thought that she would not be able to cook that at all. The problem was really serious and while my mother panicked it was important to find a solution. It needs to be solved immediately so that everyone is able to have dinner on time.

How did she solve that problem?

Ashish was one of the guests and I informed him right away. Since he was very cool-minded, he was able to find solutions easier and faster than others. Firstly, he went to the kitchen and listened to the problem. Then he asked my mother to boil the water. Then direct her to keep the chicken in that hot water. It is very obvious that the chicken will get softer within a few minutes. As soon as the chicken gets warm enough to cook, she can cook it. In this simple way, Ashish solved the problem. The chicken was delicious, I must say.

Why do you think she did it in a smart way?

In that tumultuous situation, my mother can not think of anything else but what is on her mind. Ashish was certainly calm and did not worry about what would happen if the food was not on time. Rather he ensured to listen to the problem and find a solution to it. So calm and methodical thinking and planned action are smart, at least for that moment. Just thinking in a smart way can solve any problem.

Model Answer 2

Who is this person?

A calm and cunning mind can think of a smart way out of a chaotic situation. Mindset is very important here. People who are obsessed with their own traditions and surroundings can’t think of anything outside that. One such person is my college professor, Samrat Sir.

What was the problem?

My friend, Amit, belongs to the lower middle class. He didn’t have enough opportunity to continue his higher studies. During that COVID lockdown, his father lost his job as an accountant in a restaurant. His mother was a housewife. So he is the only member who can support his family by doing some kind of physical labor to earn money. He was utterly depressed, and Sir helped him find a way.

How does she/he Sir solve the problem?

Amit was a brilliant student. He wanted to continue his studies, but he was then compelled to think of something to earn. He said he wanted to join a medicine shop and wanted to work as a medicine supplier. Furthermore, he said so, as he was used to seeing people in that way.

Sir dismissed his thought though it was not very easy to erase the prejudices. As he was a good student and can write and speak English fluently, sir preferred him to join a content writing job. Many companies were there that were then willing to hire fresher graduates as content writers. They would provide enough money to run his family. After some hustle with his deep-rooted prejudice, Sir was successful in convincing him. He joined the company and is literally doing well.

Why do you think he/she did it in a smart way?

It was smart because Sir was able to think outside the box and make him realize that too. In this online era, there are so many opportunities for the enthusiastic one. Amit was not able to see beyond his circumstances. So Sir helped him find the reality.

Model Answer 3

Who is this person?

Smart work is more useful than hard work. Smart work contains intelligence and consistent work. Hard work can be considered tiring by some, but smart work is not exhausting, but rather creative and successful. Put everything in a plan and executing properly can be the first step to doing smart work. My uncle, the Raja, is one of the smartest people I know who have the ability to resolve issues quite effectively.

What was the problem?

My uncle, Raja, helped one of my friends who was hustling with her college project. She had to write a note on feminism and print that out. After that, she had to submit that hard copy to the department. She said that she had written the topic in the paper and could not get the help of the café. Furthermore, she said, she requested the café uncle to type her note on the computer and then print that out. But that person refused to do so. The reason, he stated that it would take a lot of time to type that note, and he would not be able to engage that computer only in one work. That was the only café in the village.

How does he/she solve the problem?

After hearing about her problem from me, her Uncle advised her to install the MS Word application in her phone. Then he instructed her on the necessary information on how to write in that. So she just had to type her note on her phone and make a file. Then send it to the café and print it out. In this way, she was able to submit her assignment within the due date without facing any difficulty.

Why do you think he/she did it in a smart way?

She was totally obliged to do whatever her teacher prescribed. She was not able to think differently about completing the task. Her priority was to maintain the process prescribed by her teacher, which was to type that note on the computer and then print that out. But her priority should be completing the task anyhow. My uncle, Raja, just helped her to see the other option to complete the task. Changing perspective can also be a smart way in solving concerns. Thus, I think it was smart enough.
