You should say:
Answer 1:
Who the person is?
One human being who, in my opinion, has given something back to society is my previous English Teacher, Mrs. Ananya Sen. She was my high school English Teacher, but her contribution extends far beyond the school and tests. She contributed to making me the person I am today during perhaps the most important period of my life.
How do you know him/her?
I first encountered her when I was a ninth-grader. She appeared to me, along with many others, to be just another educator, but over time, I noticed how she cared for us, and everyone around her, so much. She offered everyone a warm, comforting smile and a soothing voice. When I struggled with my writing, or when I was afraid of coming examinations, she would help me, and she never forgot to tell me not to give up, even while her eyes were fixed more on my academic progress than on my personal development.
What type of work does he/she do?
She went out of her way even after school hours. She arranged free weekend sessions for her classmates who couldn’t afford extra lessons and organized book drives to promote reading. During the pandemic when net services were not available, she personally arranged printed notes and made sure we continued our studies.
And explain why you think he/she contributes to the society?
She makes a huge impact on society since education is key to our future. By assisting children with love and dedication, she is producing good and responsible citizens of the future. To me, she is not just a teacher; she is my kind of inspiration.
Answer 2:
Who the person is?
A person who, I truly believe, gives back to society is Dr. Ramesh Verma, a medical doctor in my hometown. Dr. Verma is more than just a medical doctor; he’s a person who truly cares about people. In my hometown, Dr. Verma’s name is uttered with kindness.
How do you know him/her?
I have known him since I was a kid because he has been our family doctor for many years now. I still remember when I visited him along with my parents whenever I had fever or cold. What struck me all these years has been that he always listened carefully before any medication was prescribed. He never seemed to hurry in what he did and always appeared calm and composed. With all these years passing by, I came to understand that he provided the same services to people irrespective of their financial condition.
What type of work does he/she do?
He runs a small medical practice in a semi-rural setting, where access to advanced medical facilities is limited. He charges very reasonable consulting fees, sometimes waiving them altogether for poor patients. He also arranges for free health camps to be conducted in surrounding villages to raise awareness of the importance of hygiene, vaccination, and preventive healthcare, among other aspects.
And explain why you think he/she contributes to the society?
I firmly believe that his contribution to society is huge since good health is the base of a good community. Through his kindness, hard work, and willingness to lend a hand anytime of the day, he has transformed many lives. To me, he is the epitome of compassion in its purest form.
Answer 3:
Who the person is?
My aunt stands out as an individual who makes significant contributions to her community. She is a social worker who is dedicated to the empowerment of women, and as I have grown older, I have come to realize the depth of her mission.
How do you know him/her?
I've known her all my life, and I've always felt her enthusiasm for serving people. She works with a non-profit that empowers disadvantaged women, mainly those living in rural areas where opportunities are few. What I think is most touching is how she connects with her community of women. She does not take it lightly; she actually listens to their experiences, knows their struggles, and assists them compassionately.
What type of work does he/she do?
Her daily life revolves around conducting vocational training sessions for women on matters like sewing, craft-making, and basic computer use. These enable women to earn their own money and become independent economically. Her training also includes women rights and education for girls. I have seen women progress from being timid and needy to being independent and empowered thanks to her efforts.
And explain why you think he/she contributes to the society?
I think it has a lasting impact on our society because when we empower women, we empower the family because the children will be able to go to a better school, to a better place, and that’s a ripple effect. Her dedication is spreading hope, dignity, and self-assurance to many people’s lives, and it’s really worthwhile to be able to admire this kind of work.
