Model Answer 1

Whose party was it?

I have been fortunate enough to be invited to everyone’s celebration. I always feel grateful that people want me to be a part of their happiness. That’s the reason I am always so excited to attend parties. Today I am going to describe a party that I enjoyed and the major reason for the same was as I was one of the people to organise it.

What was the celebration about?

It was the first wedding anniversary of my sister. I share a friendly bond with my brother-in-law and therefore we started planning the anniversary party a week in advance. I took the responsibility of curating all my sister’s songs along with their wedding pictures in a video. I also took care of the decoration and ensured that it is neither loud nor dull. My sister is fond of everything elegant so I kept the theme colour white and peach and got the banquet hall decorated with flowers like roses, carnations and lilies with the same colours. I loved the way it overall looked.

Where was the party held and who all went to it?

On the morning of the anniversary day, I gift-wrapped a beautiful dress and left it secretly in her room. She looked extremely pretty in that dress. My brother-in-law looked handsome as well. In the evening, she was surprised to see the effort we all had put to make it memorable for her.

What did people do at the party?

All my relatives and friends were invited to the party. After cutting the cake, I organised some fun games questioning how the couple’s life had been after a year. Everyone enjoyed the party including me as everything went as planned. People danced, had wines and relished the food. All that could be seen that evening was smiles, laughter and happiness.

Explain why did you enjoy?

My sister was spellbound at the effort of everyone, especially me and thanked me profusely for organising the evening and making it a success. I thoroughly enjoyed that party as I felt my contribution made the day special for my sister as well.

Whose party was it?

I am not a party buff but there was a party that was organised by my sister which I enjoyed a lot. It was her twenty-fifth birthday and she decided to host a party in Jaisalmer. Since I had never been there, I thought this could be a good opportunity to travel to a new city. I was already excited about visiting the place. I read a lot about it in history books.

What was the celebration about?

The Jaisalmer Fort is the only living fort in the world as nearly one-fourth of the old city's population still resides within the fort. I always wanted to visit the place and witness the richness and the culture of the city. My sister’s plan was a 3 day 4nights trip in the city. I knew the party would have been going on for days. The day we reached, we relaxed a bit and roamed around in the market.

Where was the party held and who all went to it?

The next day was his birthday, so the arrangements were made in an old hotel called 1100 AD. Bonfire, lamps, live music, dance- everything was party perfect. I even interacted with her friends and they were amazing people. She had friends working in different professions from writer, doctor, engineer and musician.

What did people do at the party?

It was insightful to interact with all of them and know their view about my sister. The food of the restaurant was delicious and we had the very famous “Dal Bati Churma” as well. Other food items veg and non-veg both were yummy. I gifted my sister a handmade card and a piece of jewellery as she is fond of them.

Explain why did you enjoy?

She loved it and I loved the whole experience. I am now looking forward to her party which is bizarre as it does not resonate with my personality but her party was so lively and fun that I can’t help but think about a wonderful time I had hanging out with her friends.

Whose party was it?

Celebrating happy moments with near and dear ones adds up to happiness. I have shared many happy moments with loved ones by attending their parties or organising one for them but this party that I am thinking about right now was different. It is one of my favourite parties I ever attended.

What was the celebration about?

It was a surprise party hosted by my family on my 30th birthday. I am a single woman who spends most of her time working till late. I am not a party animal either. My idea of celebration is deeply personal. So many of my birthdays pass where I spend the day sipping wine and watching my favourite sitcom.

Where was the party held and who all went to it?

Last year on the day of my birthday, it was a holiday so I was simply spending the time at home watching movies, surfing the internet, sipping wine and eating double margarita cheese pizza. When the clock struck 7 pm, my doorbell rang and I opened it to my whole family standing outside the door and they screamed with happiness “SURPRISE”.

What did people do at the party?

I wasn’t expecting them and their smiling faces with balloons in their hand, cake, flowers and whatnot made my day. I wished for it to be my birthday every day. I ordered more pizza for all of them. My father told me that my younger sister spent the whole afternoon baking the cake, the reason why it tasted so much better.

Explain why did you enjoy?

My mother made gulab jamuns as she knew I loved them. Their kind gestures melted my heart and I was feeling grateful for the love and affection they showered me that day. Their warm hugs, their laughter, their efforts- I felt extremely blessed to have all of that last birthday. The little moments like this are what makes me feel alive and fortunate.
