Model Answer 1

What it was?

I'll be honest; I've worked a lot of part-time jobs while I was a student. It was only to gain practical professional experience. I do, however, clearly recall the first part-time job offer I received, which had nothing to do with my course of study. I worked as an assistant librarian in a library, which is the closest comparison I can make.

When it was?

I started working a part-time job to earn some money and have the flexibility to read whenever I wanted while also being around books. My parents didn't like me working part-time because they thought I was wasting my time and effort. Nevertheless, I persuaded them and carried out this assignment. I had to put in four hours a day for approximately a month.

Where you have worked?

Despite my clumsiness, I managed to master the art of methodically sorting the books into the appropriate categories and maintaining a daily log of the volumes distributed to users and those returned once they had been read. In addition, I was told to assist with the management and organisation of the library. It involves assisting library users in discovering relevant reference materials, managing interlibrary loans, and signing users up to receive library cards.

Explain why you have worked there?

I had trouble getting organised for the first 15 days, but then I was able to carve out some downtime to read my favourite novels. I was thrilled to be able to read as many books as I wanted without having to buy them because I was a student trying to save money. In addition, the librarian who hired me taught me a lot of organisational skills that advanced me. She was patient with me throughout my part-time job, and I owe her thanks for that.

Model Answer 2

What it was?

I started searching for part-time jobs around my neighborhood when I was in 12th standard. I didn't got any work because it was somehow illegal to work under the age of 18. So I started looking online. After years of finding and searching and giving online interviews, I finally got an online telecalling job. It was a company startup and they wanted to advertise the services provided by it. So I worked 6 hours a day as a telecaller.

When it was?

I began looking for part-time work when I was in the 12th grade and about 17 years old. The year was 2017. It was difficult to balance my studies and part-time job, but I dropped out of school, giving me more time to manage my studies and job. I worked as a telecaller in the morning and then studied from evening to night.

Where you have worked?

I worked online with a company called Career Alfa as a telecaller. I found it on LinkedIn and it appealed to me because the stipend provided was also reasonable and it helped me economically. It was a 6 hours job and the choice was given to select the time slot of preference.

Explain why you have worked there?

I worked part-time for a variety of reasons, the most important of which was financial independence. Obtaining a degree and then working, in my opinion, is a waste of time. If one begins at a young age, it is more likely that one will be able to afford their own studies. This not only fosters independence but also relieves financial strain on parents' shoulders.

The second reason I chose to work part-time was to gain experience. The third and most important reason I worked was that I wanted to be exceptional. When others my age were preoccupied with pondering and becoming confused about careers and dreams. Furthermore, I was looking for materialistic information.

When it was?

I was studying Psychology. I was a student of B.A. Psychology when I started looking for a part time job. And after a lot of hard work in searching for work, I finally stumbled upon the right one for me. I always loved to interact with different people as a Psychology student so working as a salesman fulfilled my wish of interaction. So I loved working as a jewellery salesman.

Where you have worked?

I worked at a jewellery showroom of Jiya in the mall. It is a jewellery brand that allows customers a huge range of artificial, silver, gold, and diamond jewellry pieces. I loved what I did.

Explain why you have worked there?

The main reason I worked a part-time job as a salesman was that I needed money. My parents could no longer afford my studies, and it was time for me to realise I needed to become financially independent and responsible. I wanted to continue my education but was concerned that my parents would be unable to teach me and pay my tuition. As a result, it was my only option for funding my own studies. Working as a salesperson was not solely for my benefit. But I also wanted to be able to afford the things my parents wanted for themselves but could never afford.

The second reason was that I wanted to gain experience in the field of contact with others I was not a sociable person, and being a Psychology student required more openness and interaction skills. As a result, salesman duty is the best way to gain experience interacting with others.
