which nation it is?

The country I am familiar with, other than my own, is Japan. I became aware of Japan during my school days through textbooks but became passionately interested in it later through travel videos and other online sources about the country and its culture.

what and how you learned about this nation?

I learned about Japan through different methods. Besides learning through academics, I also follow YouTube channels that center on Japan related to culture, food, and lifestyle. I have also gained information through books and blog sites created by those who have resided or traveled to Japan.

why you are interested in this nation?

I am specifically drawn to Japan. This is because Japan has an interesting blend of tradition and technological advancements. This is true because Japan is known for things such as temples, tea ceremonies, and festivals. Additionally, Japan is recognized as one that has technological advancements such as high-speed trains.

and explain what you like most about it?

What I like best about Japan is that the people are disciplined and respectful. Their culture is one of cleanliness, promptness, and good manners. Another thing that I like about Japan is that the people are nature-loving. This is reflected in their gardens and the celebration of the viewing of the cherry blossoms. Overall, Japan fascinates me because it shows that one can be modern and retain one’s cultural identity.

One other country that I am familiar with, besides my own, is the United Kingdom. The knowledge that I obtained about this country is mainly from my education and studying English language and literature.

My education about the UK has been from school and college days while learning British history, literature, and international politics. The authors Shakespeare, Dickens, and George Orwell have given me insight into British society, culture, and background. In addition, the media, documentaries, and travel shows have enhanced my knowledge about the UK.

why you are interested in this nation?

I chose the UK because the country has been one of the most influential forces in international history, particularly concerning politics, education, and language. It is also known that the UK has the best higher education institutions in the world.

and explain what you like most about it?

One thing that I enjoy about the UK is the blend of culture and modern life that it offers. The UK has a wide array of historical landmarks and infrastructure dating back to the old days, ranging from Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London to old castles and other monuments. These buildings are coupled with contemporary cities like London and Manchester. Another aspect of the UK that I appreciate is the multi-cultural setup of the country’s society, allowing people of diverse cultures and backgrounds to co-exist together in the UK. In general, the UK fascinates me because of its great traditions and influence as well as cultural diversity.

Apart from my country, there is another country that I am fairly familiar with, and this is Australia. In fact, my exposure to this country is traced back to my knowledge of some of my friends and relatives who reside there.

My ideas about Australia are mostly gathered through travel shows that feature Australia as a travel destination, blogging sites, and interactions with people of Australian origin either as visitors or immigrants to the country. In addition to this, I have conducted research on the working culture of the country because of the popularity of Australia as a destination for students and working professionals.

why you are interested in this nation?

I am drawn to Australian culture specifically because of the standard of living and the relaxed manner in which people live. Australia is most famous worldwide for sustaining the perfect balance between work and play. People are generally portrayed as being very friendly and free-thinking, with the best standards of health and education.

One thing I love so much about Australia is the natural beauty of the country. The country is renowned for its stunning beaches, fascinating wildlife, and natural wonders such as the Great Barrier Reef and national parks. Another thing I love about Australia is the value the Australian culture places on outdoor recreation and environmental conservation. This reflects their profound respect for nature.

On the whole, Australia attracts me in that it provides the best of modern facilities, natural scenery, and a hospitable environment combined together in the best manner to live, work, and adventure.
