Model Answer 1

What the language is

Learning a different language is always beneficial, especially if one wants to advance in one's job and learn about the culture and traditions of another country. However, I'd like to focus on one specific language that I'd like to learn, which is known as "Mandarin."

Where it is spoken

Mandarin, the language of over 1.5 billion people worldwide, is mostly spoken by people in South-East Asian nations such as mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Macau. Many Chinese expatriates in the United States, Canada, Australia, and many European nations speak it as well.

What you think would be difficult

Even though learning Mandarin can be difficult, especially for an English speaker like me, I believe that if I stick to my goals, I will be able to learn it quickly. In addition, I intend to practice alone with my Mandarin textbooks, as well as meet a few Mandarin-speaking acquaintances both online and in person. I also intend to enroll in a Mandarin study program. I also intend to watch more Chinese films in order to better comprehend the various tones and pronunciation styles of the Mandarin language.

What would be easy about learning the language and explain why you would like to learn it

Furthermore, after understanding a few fundamental facts about Mandarin, such as how learning 1000 commonly used characters would enable me to recognize 90% of the characters in Chinese newspapers and how simple Chinese grammar is, I am more sure than ever that I can quickly master this complex language. Finally, in order to become proficient rapidly, I intend to remember some basic and simple Chinese words.

Anyway, there are a few reasons why I'd like to learn this language. For starters, it would allow me to understand more about the amazing culture of the Chinese people in greater depth and in a more objective manner. By the way, I also enjoy learning about new countries and cultures in order to be informed. Second, it would enable me to take advantage of improved job prospects in the future, as more and more Chinese enterprises become desirable places to work for professionals from all over the world, including the United States.

Model Answer 2

What the language is

Spanish is one of the world's most widely spoken languages. So I'd like to learn the language.

Where it is spoken

The language is spoken in over 20 countries and has risen to the status of a second language. There are also other reasons to learn the language. In reality, Spanish is displacing other key languages, and it is now the official second language in the United States. As a result, there are less opportunities to dismiss the significance of the language. Due to its rising popularity around the world, the language is currently becoming dominant. A large number of individuals are interested in the language, and by studying it, they can participate in a variety of activities.

The language originated in Spain and is still spoken in certain areas. At the same time, it has now spread all over the world. Over 400 million individuals worldwide utilize the language on a daily basis. The number is also increasing due to rising demand. Essentially, this language is spoken by the people of Spain and neighboring nations.

What you think would be difficult

This is a clear language that I enjoy listening to. I couldn't understand the meaning of the words they said until I learned it. The languages seemed strange to me. But now I comprehend practically all of the language's terms and expressions.

What would be easy about learning the language and explain why you would like to learn it

Learning the language will benefit me in a variety of ways. For starters, the area where I live in the United States is densely populated with Spanish speakers. It would be advantageous for me to properly interact with them. I run a little shop where I sell a variety of goods. I could increase my sales if I spoke the language. I have hired a local Spanish man to speak with the other locals who visit my shop. But it's difficult for me to communicate with him because he doesn't speak English well. I believe that if I knew the language, I would be able to communicate with him more effectively.

I'd also like to learn the language for other reasons. Languages have always piqued my interest. Prior to relocating to Goa, I worked as a sales executive for an international eyeglasses manufacturing firm and traveled around Europe and the United States. I met with people and learned about them. However, due to the language barrier, communication was difficult. So I decided to learn a couple of international languages that would be beneficial to me as well as improve my communication skills. Hence, Spanish is the language I intend to learn.

Model Answer 3

What the language is

In today's fast-paced world, it is essential to be able to communicate in English. As an Indian, I aspire to master the English language to the fullest extent possible.

Where it is spoken

English is the most widely spoken language in the world, and even individuals living in the farthest reaches of the globe understand it. As a result, having a good command of the language is essential for becoming acquainted with the worldwide people, and the importance of this language is beyond comprehension. We require English in many aspects of our lives. Despite the fact that Marathi is my mother tongue, the higher education texts are written in English, and the classes are always held in English as well. Occasionally, while attending university classes, I am unable to speak the language properly and make serious errors in the pronunciation of specific terms. This is a humiliating scenario for both me and my country.

What you think would be difficult

English is widely spoken throughout the world. It serves a variety of functions. The language is so important that it has become the first language of the majority of industrialized countries, while it is the second language of developing countries. The English language is required to learn new things or issues, gather knowledge for everyday use, enjoy movies and television serials, communicate with foreign clients and dealers, travel in foreign countries and book for overseas hotels while on vacation, regular conversations in the office, responding in classes, appearing on examinations, and many other purposes that cannot be described in words. As a result of its exceptional ability to impress people all over the world, language has become the queen of all languages.

What would be easy about learning the language and explain why you would like to learn it

After finishing my Bachelor's degree as a computer engineer, I intend to relocate to the United Kingdom and pursue a postgraduate degree there. As far as I know, the British are perfectionists, and they do not prefer students with accents other than their original tongue. It is difficult for international pupils to compete with natives unless their speaking tones are comparable to theirs. As a result, I'd like to master the language, particularly the spoken part. Gradually, I will adopt the British writing style and begin employing their native language in my writing, allowing me to develop a native writing style as well. Learning the language will help me achieve my objectives.

I am fluent in English but lack the capacity to communicate in a conventional form of English informal contexts. When I start speaking English, Marathi tones obstruct my natural flow. I tried multiple times, alone, to shift my Marathi tone during English interactions, but each time I failed. As an Indian, I am heavily influenced by the local Indian tone, which makes me sound horrible when I speak English. Furthermore, listening to the others' pronunciations becomes strange. Professional English language training will assist me in getting rid of the regional tones. Furthermore, I must practice a lot in order to achieve the natural tone that English people employ. I'm hoping to learn the language for my own benefit.
