Answer 1:
What the dish is?
Pizza is a type of foreign cuisine that I personally enjoy. Although it has its roots in Italy, it is now one of the most favorite foods around the world. But pizza is more than just quick fuel for me; it’s also tied up with memories and a little bit of fun.
Where you tried it?
My first bite of pizza was at a bustling Domino’s in my hometown. I remember that day vividly, pulling up with a crew of friends from school just after we finished our exams. We were all buzzing, excited and a little jittery, me especially, unsure about this corny scheme. And then it smacked me: one bite, and it all fell into place. The melted cheese on top of the tangy tomato sauce, the soft crust with a crunch—it was almost heavenly.
What ingredients or taste you enjoyed?
What I love most about pizza is its toppings. My favorites are mushrooms, capsicum, onions, and olives. The combination of the veggie mix with cheese and herbs is so comforting and satisfying, and just smelling it can make my stomach growl with hunger.
And explain why you like it?
For me, pizza is more than just a taste experience. It is a way to connect with others. It is easy to share, and each person can choose their own toppings. Sharing pizza with friends and family becomes a celebration, a moment of pleasure, laughter, and joy with the people I care about.
Answer 2:
What the dish is?
One dish from another country that I truly enjoyed is sushi, a traditional Japanese dish. Before I got to taste it, I had only seen it in movies and social media platforms, where it always looked artistic and carefully arranged. I was intrigued but a bit apprehensive, especially since some types of sushi have raw fish.
Where you tried it?
My first experience with sushi was at a Japanese restaurant inside a mall with a small group of friends. We decided to go there to mix things up with our usual food. When the dish was placed on the table, I noticed the organized way it was set up. The small and colorful pieces of food were almost too beautiful to eat. I had a slight moment of hesitation about eating it, but I decided to take a chance and try it out.
What ingredients or taste you enjoyed?
Sushi is a combination of vinegared rice, fish, and vegetables, all of which are usually wrapped in seaweed. What impressed me most about sushi was how fresh the ingredients were. The rice was soft and slightly sour, while the fillings were clean and light. The taste was subtle and never overpowering. The addition of a dash of soy sauce and a hint of wasabi added a bit of a spicy kick to the dish, which made it even more enjoyable to eat.
And explain why you like it?
I like sushi because it is a healthy and refreshing alternative to the spicy and rich dishes that I usually go for. Eating sushi was an entirely new experience for my taste buds. Eating sushi encouraged me to try other cuisines and to move out of my comfort zone when it comes to food.
Answer 3:
What the dish is?
Pasta is one of those foreign foods I’ve really come to love. It’s classic Italian, sure, but I didn’t actually try it until a few years back. My family and I were out at this small, cozy café. I remember flipping through the menu and seeing that the white sauce pasta came highly recommended. I figured, why not, and went for it.
Where you tried it?
When the plate was placed before me, the indulgence of the dish was impossible to ignore—the garlic and herbs exuding in a soft cloud, perfuming the air. The first bite had me hooked from the start. The sauce clung rich and decadent, pulling each strand of pasta to absorb its goodness. It’s the veggie mix—broccoli, corn, mushrooms—that swirls through the white sauce that lingers. The taste is comforting, not sharp or hot; rather, it’s calming, with oregano pushing a bright, aromatic note.
What ingredients or taste you enjoyed?
What I enjoy most about pasta is the experience it provides—comfort food, but not too much or too rich. There’s a sense of indulgence, as if you’re treating yourself, even when it’s just a midday meal. Ever since that day, pasta’s been a favorite of mine. I’m always up for trying new versions—red sauce, baked, you name it—especially when I’m at a new café or restaurant.
And explain why you like it?
But honestly, pasta is more than just a dish for me. It always takes me back to that day with my family, the fun of trying something new, and that first, perfect bite.
