Where it was?

I believe a good trip can be a lifetime experience if you stay in a good hotel. Hotels can provide a blissful experience and add satisfaction to the trip. I happened to visit Tajpur last March with a few of my friends and stayed there in a hotel called Coral Sea Resort. It was a beautiful property as it was very close to the sea. The resort has its own private beach attached to a swimming pool and shower area. I stayed there for nearly a week.

Why and when you stay there?

It was before the pandemic happened and hence we could enjoy our 6 days. This was a long-planned trip. We were elated to see the décor of the interior of the resort as well as the surrounding atmosphere. The resort was encompassed by palm and coconut trees and little shrubs on all three sides.

What facilities it had?

The resort had many small cottages. We booked a single cottage that had two adjoining rooms with one double bed, sofa, almirah, and coffee table in each room. The attached bathrooms were very clean with purified water and separate shower areas. We were provided with slippers to wear inside the room by the resort so that sand does not enter our cottage. The two rooms were enough for us 5 friends. The cottages were scattered along with the property and there was a huge lawn in the center with tables, chairs, and umbrellas to sit for the guests. There was also a cleaning area so that guests could easily wash the sand off themselves after a swim. The lawn connected all the cottages and it led us directly to the beach and the sea which was just beside the resort.

Say whether you liked or disliked staying in this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay very much. I liked the hotel especially as it was adjacent to the sea and we could all go for a swim in the sea even at night. The hotel had excellent outdoor dining arrangements at the beach and we would enjoy our meals with the waves washing our feet. The sound of the waves crashing and splattering on the rocks all night long made our stay even more memorable.

Model Answer 2

Where it was?

I make sure that I am able to go on trips at least twice a year. This keeps my mind fresh and helps me work towards my goal. The most important thing that I select personally is the hotels where I am going to stay. Last year in the winter months of November I happened to visit Tawang with my friends from college. We happened to stay at a hotel called Tshering Himalayan Homestay. The property was immensely beautiful and located in a peaceful pine tree forest outside the city. We stayed there for about two weeks.

Why and when you stay there?

The trip was undertaken as part of a trekking campaign that was due to start from Tawang. It was during the Puja vacation and as such our college was closed. This provided us with the perfect excuse for a long-cherished respite in the hills of North-East India. The stay at the homestay was 14 days long.

What facilities it had?

The homestay had many small and big family rooms providing for all kinds of travelers. The hotel was decorated with wooden accents and exposed stone walls which made it feel like a very luxurious cabin amidst the woods. The homestay also had a common lounge with a huge fireplace and heaters were provided for each individual room which made the stay very cozy and full of warmth. The homestay also has an attached organic kitchen garden from which the products are used to prepare everyday meals for the guests. We also got to try their home-brewed local alcoholic drinks. We were provided with clean blankets and hot water for drinking for our convenience. The washrooms were all fitted with geysers to provide round-the-clock hot water for washing and bathing whenever needed. The stay at the homestay along with all the meals provided was very cheap.

Say whether you liked or disliked staying in this hotel.

The homestay is located in the foothills of the Great Himalayan Mountains at a very scenic location. It is the time when we would be served our morning tea and we could enjoy sipping the hot drink on our balcony overlooking the snowy mountain peaks. We could also see a high altitude at night, which makes the view breathtakingly beautiful. The best part of our stay according to marly innumerable stars light up the night sky due to the clear air and low visible light pollution in the locale.

Where it was?

A few months back at the beginning of the year in January, I visited the Bandhavgarh National Park with my fellow wildlife enthusiasts. We stayed there at one of the newly opened eco-tourist lodges opened by the government to facilitate tourism. We stayed there for approximately 4 days.

Why and when you stay there?

We went there primarily to watch the migratory birds traveling from the north to escape the harsh cold. We were all excited to see the different avian animals of the subcontinent and beyond. I went along with my 7 friends as an expedition cum work purpose.

What facilities it had?

The lodge was small in nature but filled with all the modern amenities one needs to stay put. We booked two suites which comfortably accommodated all of us. There were attached bathrooms with the rooms with a decent size shower area and clean toilets. Since the lodge was in a remote location in the middle of a jungle, there is a provision for eating at the restaurant on the ground floor of the lodge. Guests also had the option to choose to accommodate themselves in a tent pitched within the property grounds, provided by the hotel. There was a Wi-Fi facility available in the lodge as the cell connection is a bit dodgy. The lodge had its own place where they grew much of their own vegetables and guests had the chance to cook their own meals. The lodge was very pocket-friendly as it was a government-operated place.

We were pretty stoked by our stay at the place due to its unique location and the adventurous yet calm surroundings. The lodge was a great spot for bird watching as it had its own watchtower and a lake nearby where many birds were nested and various wild animals came to drink water. We were provided with very powerful binoculars with nighttime vision so that we can spot birds easily whatever the time. We watched a lot of birds coming to find shelter in the lake area and also spotted a few mammals like tigers, cheetahs, giraffes, and elephants. Overall the stay was quite fun and interesting.
