Model Answer 1

Who this person is?

The happiest person that I know is my mom. I envy her a lot because I am very close to her and know the mess of our life in detail. Despite that, she manages to smile and keep going without letting those issues get into her head. It seems as if she is in a different rest and peace which comes from completeness.

My mom was not like this before, now she is in her 50s, and retired from her military job. She is currently an author, a baker, a painter, a designer, and a lapidarist, and she is still an expert in many unlisted things. Growing close to her after she retired from a military job I realized that she does what she loves. Despite having delayed payments, lack of customers for long periods, and any unexpected issues, she always manages to give her best by enjoying whatever she does.

How you know this person?

She does not just make customers but a special friendship with them. It sounds like some business strategy, but it naturally, unintentionally flows from her. Due to this, she has few faithful customers. They are few but she is very satisfied with them. Apart from these she reads books and sounds so dense with knowledge whenever anyone speaks to her. She makes sure that her work doesn’t skip her family time. The secret of her happiness I feel comes from the fact that- she makes complete use of every minute, she treasures her family and keeps everyone bonded by settling matters quickly, she is disciplined, persistent, and dedicated to giving more quality work, she takes her health seriously, she takes occasional breaks for self-recharge, she prioritizes mental health, she loves watching movies and creating videos with her kids.

How he/she shows happiness?

Even though all of the above may sound as if she is perfect, there are times that she loses track and lags. There are times when she didn’t feel like continuing but at all those times, she was grateful for her good past times which kept her happy! She also says that her family is her major source of happiness. Even in her sad times, I never felt that she had that level of sadness compared to her happiness!

Model Answer 2

Who this person is?

My maid Kamala aunty has been one of the happiest people I have seen. She lives in a normal chawl with her two daughters. Despite being a single mother she ensured that both of her daughters receive a quality education. From the time she enters our home to the time she leaves, she will be having a smile or a song in her mouth. She has been working in our place for the past three years. I love to treat her as my elder sister. From sharing food with us during her lunch to telling us stories, she is more of our family member. Even while working, she keeps sharing her childhood experiences, some small riddles, and random jokes with us to keep us smiling. Her happiness comes from seeing us happy!

How you know this person?

She is hardworking and hopes optimistically for the future. She works in 4 houses; despite the tiredness or sleeplessness, she manages to find small matters to smile on. She is proud of her daughters and is very positive about their future. She treats us like her own family. She doesn’t shy away from expressing gratitude. She doesn’t alter the quality of her job even if she doesn’t feel good. She believes in the power of dreams and always tells us to dream big irrespective of our conditions.

How he/she shows happiness?

She loves to cook. Apart from working as a maid, she also serves lunch and dinner to her customers. Sometimes she gets good profits, sometimes she does not but that doesn’t stop her from cooking. Seeing her hobby turned into business many people have even started hiring her just for cooking food. She did not give up on her hobby, her friendly and optimistic nature fetched her more customers. Her humming during the work, made many tell her that she can pursue singing too as her career to which she replies that she is quite satisfied with her current business as well as her career as a maid. She remains happy whenever I see her because- She never compares her work from different houses, She never feels inferior for being a maid, She believes in giving a smile to get a smile, She also believes in appreciating others, She loves treating others as her friends, She is very open-minded, hardworking, and up-to-date which makes the young generation love her, She doesn’t grumble about her previous masters. Being an all-rounder is difficult but smiling and being happy throughout covers all mistakes. No wonder how a simple smile can leave a lasting impression on every person we meet.

Model Answer 3

Who this person is?

Happiness is a choice that you have to naturally choose. And to naturally choose it, we need to make a habit of it. This I learned from my senior, Aaryan. Being a backbencher, he was often quoted as a bad example of what not to be if scoring good grades is your goal. But whoever met him in person knew that he chose happiness more than anything. He was average in his studies but was popular in school for his dancing skills.

How you know this person?

He was mischievous but he lived his student life to the fullest. His best friend was our college watchman. His focus was to build relationships and nurture them. He didn’t mind interacting with juniors of his own age. He graduated this year, but he comes often to meet his watchman's uncle. He encouraged his juniors. He never compared himself with other batch mates. His grades didn’t depress him because he knew his own study limits. He spent most of the time dancing and doing things that he loves. One will always find him actively participating in all other co-curricular activities. He was a social butterfly. He even taught dancing in his leisure hours thus earning enough money for monthly expenditure. He described dancing as an expression of emotion and spoke about it often which says that he was passionate about it.

How he/she shows happiness?

He would often share his lunch with the quietest student in the class. He entertained healthy competition. He would support his friends during their sad times. Even though he had failures, he didn’t feel like giving more attention to them as he had so many reasons to be happy. His batchmates loved spending time with him because he ensured that the other person would completely relate to him while interacting with them. He loved spending time after college with our college gardeners, and cleaners. He didn’t mind helping them too. In all he did, he was satisfied. He lived in the present and did not worry much about the future because he had full faith in his passion. All of these factors made him stand out from the crowd, the happiness that he kept on choosing by giving to others always came back to him. He now owns an academy for dance, which he started with his own money!
