What it is?

I'd want to briefly describe writing because I really enjoy it. The flowers waved to one another as their leaves brushed against one another as the water spilled off the coast. The sun's rays might be seen through the gaps in those dense trees. Yes, the time we spent at this wildlife reserve during my childhood is the happiest memory I have. Being in the middle of nature, with monkeys taking your food and a peacock enchanting you with its magnificence, was something I always imagined as a child.

When it happened?

So we went to this national park with my mom, dad, and my late grandfather when I was in elementary school. We went for a safari ride and the utter silence and calmness we experienced was beyond words.The monkeys jumping around from one tree to another, the wind hitting my face, it was as if we had come to heaven. It was something that cannot be explained in words but yet is said in words.

How you felt at the time?

My grandfather and I have been really close since I was a baby, it was another kind of excitement being there to be able to enjoy the safari ride with him. It is one of the best childhood memories because it was the last and most fun trip that I got to experience with my grandfather. Because after coming back from the trip he fell ill and passed away. So this memory of my childhood holds a special place in my heart and is by far the happiest one I can remember.

What it is?

I don't have many vivid childhood recollections that I can recall down to the smallest of details. On the other hand, I still vividly recall this childhood memory that I shared with my best buddy. When our school held this international-level young people's drawing contest, I was still in elementary school. I entered the contest along with my best friend. I've always had a passion for painting; I believe I inherited it from my mother, who was a successful painter at the time.

When it happened?

As it was an international level drawing competition thousands of students participated in it and I was really anxious. I was worried about whether I would be able to match up the level or not and win the prize which I badly wanted to win to get recognition worldwide. Well I did give in my 100% and we waited desperately for the results, and the d-day was finally here. I had butterflies in my stomach, my face used to turn red even now when I am too nervous about something. As they called in for the results all I prayed to god was “Please my lord help me win this one”. And when they finally announced the results, to my shock I had won the first prize in that competition I couldn't believe my ears.

How you felt at the time?

They actually had to repeat it twice and the happiness that I experienced at that time is something beyond explanation. I danced my way through joy and to top my happiness my best friend received the third prize and we were the happiest children alive on the planet that day. It was amazing and the best childhood memory. I always wanted to follow in my mother’s footsteps and winning this competition was just the first step of that ladder.

What it is?

My experience with life has always been uncertain. Every time I believed I had my life under control, something unpleasant for me would surprise me and come up. And when I reminisced about a pleasant childhood memory, I would flashback to when I was just 12 years old. Everything appeared to be wonderful in my paradise, and I had the family I had always hoped for. It was spring, which is my absolute favourite season.

When it happened?

During my summer vacation we always used to go for a vacation but this time it was all the more special. As it was the first time that we were traveling out of India to my place of dreams, Dubai. I had always fantasized about visiting Dubai and we finally had the privilege to go and visit Dubai. We booked first-class air tickets to Dubai. It was so amazing being there up in the bed of clouds, the sun shining through the clouds making it the perfect bed for someone to sleep. The view was amazing, then we finally landed in Dubai, my dream place. As a child, I was always romanticized with the idea of being there in candy land, and finally, it was coming true. The first thing we visited after getting all dressed up was Candylicious, the big brand candy shop in Dubai. To me, it was a dream come true.

How you felt at the time?

I had almost every candy they had at that shop. My mother and I have clicked hundreds of pictures there. We even ate bird-like cotton candy. We brought so many candies with us too. It was like the perfect candy land I had always dreamt of and my mother even danced like idiots in the middle of the shop. It was a super fun memory and the most special memory of mine as a child since three years after I lost my mother to cancer. So yes, a very special and lovable memory of mine.
