Model Answer 1

What is the law?

The execution of laws is essential for the proper operation of a nation. Without these regulations, there will be anarchy and lack of organisation everywhere. My nation has a number of regulations worth mentioning, including one that forbids the use of plastic bags. In addition, there are fines for littering, wearing a helmet, driving under the influence, and many more offences.

How you came to know about this law?

Today I will discuss the law prohibiting the utilization of plastic bags. I got to know about this law from a news channel. In 2016, India prohibited the utilization of plastic carry bags under 50 microns thickness, yet it couldn't sustain well, due to the absence of alternatives.

Whom does it affect?

On World Environment Day 2018, the subject was "Beat Plastic Pollution", thus the government is required to be strict in the execution of this law. For that year, India was the worldwide host of World Environment Day. Thus, our PM Mr. Narendra Modi asked each state and Union Territory to dispatch a massive mission against the utilization of plastics.

Why is it good?

Plastic in all forms, for example, carry bags, drinking straws and plastic containers have been restricted. And severe fines are forced on the violators of this law. Plastic is nonbiodegradable and jams up our landfill sites. If burnt, it emits poisonous fumes into the air.

This is an outstanding initiative started by the government to not use plastic. We all should support the government and restrain from using plastic in our lives.

Model Answer 2

What is the law?

A country can only stand strong and develop if its laws are effective. There are many regulations in India that serve as a security for the common populace because it is a popularity-based nation.

How you came to know about this law?

I'll talk about a law today that I believe to be very beneficial to the general populace. The ban on smoking in public is what it is. On October 2, 2008, the highest court in my nation, the "Supreme Court," issued an order to put the law into effect. It was put into effect right away, and for that the Supreme Court deserves recognition. I believe this to be a very good law for a number of reasons.

Whom does it affect?

Most importantly, the law prohibits individuals from smoking in public like railway stations, bus stands, malls, etc. According to WHO the population of people who smoke is around 120 million. Thus, restricting smoking in public is the absolute measure to battle the aftermaths of passive smoking. Aside from that, the violators of this law are totally taken care of by the police.

Why is it good?

They need to pay a fine of up to 1000 INR or once in a while, the punishment goes as long as a half year of detainment as well. Also, I believe that with strict implementation of this law the diseases like cancer, which are the result of smoking, can be reduced. I feel that this law should be followed by everyone so that we can root out deadly diseases like cancer from our country.

Model Answer 3

What is the law?

Many commendable laws in favour of our nation's residents have been passed by the government. Numerous rules that support Indian inhabitants living tranquil lives free from disorder are included in the Indian Constitution. I want to talk about a dowry-prevention law that is well-liked by everyone in the community. In an effort to rein in India's dowry system, the Indian government passed this regulation in 1962. Once upon a time, when a daughter got married, her parents would offer her household goods. With the sincere aim to assist, they did it.

How you came to know about this law?

By doing this, they assist their little girls with beginning another period of life. They gave various things to them like cash, electronic merchandise, etc. Although there are some greedy people who have requested costly things from their daughter-in-law's family. Some people even beat their daughter-in-law for dowry.

Whom does it affect?

This dowry system leads to sin such as murder, misconduct, physical exploitation, and so on.

To control this offense, the Indian government ordered the Anti-Dowry Act to shield poor or working-class individuals from being the convict of a misdeed.

Why is it good?

So in the current situation, daughters know about this law and if they deal with any issue with the in-law's family. They can record FIR against their in-law family. The police do proper investigation before issuing an arrest warrant against the in-law’s family of the girl. I think that this is by far one of the best laws implemented in India.
