I have watched many movies based on real life events since they are inspiring and teaches a lot about life. The distinctive visual appeal and the narrative provided in such movies are very detailed. Recently, I watched a movie which was based on a real person.

When and where you saw this movie

I watched the movie with my friends at my home. My friends came for lunch on Sunday. After we had lunch, it was movie time. One of my friends recommended the movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which was released in 2013. I had not watched the movie before. Hence, we started watching it.

What person or event the film was about

The film was about a true story of the "Flying Sikh" - world champion runner and Olympian Milkha Singh. The movie showed how he overcame his family conditions during the India-Pakistan partition.

What happened in the movie

From becoming homeless to the world champion Olympic runner, the story revolves around the hero Milkha Singh played by Farhan Akhtar. The movie showed the tortures and the harm induced upon Sikh people. The lead character of Milkha Singh wanted to run for his country and how he prepared for that. The movie showed dedication and commitment until you achieve the goal.

How you felt about this film

I felt very inspired after watching the movie. The joy that Milkha Singh had after winning the gold medal at the Olympics, inspired us all. I was very happy that my friend suggested such a good movie. Overall, the experience was absolutely amazing.

I like to watch movies, and it is one of my favorite things to do during free time. I love the movies where any real life events or a real life inspiration is shown. Recently, I watched one such movie, which was about a virus outbreak in Southern parts of India.

When and where you saw this movie

I watched the movie with my friends at one of my friend’s home. We went out for dinner and when we came back, we still have 2 hours before anyone could sleep. So we thought of watching a movie together. One of my friends suggested the movie “Virus” which was released in 2019. Since I had not watched the movie yet, I agreed.

What person or event the film was about

The Malayalam-language medical thriller movie was about the Nipah virus outbreak in Kerala. The movie shows the deaths and how the people suffered due to the virus.

What happened in the movie

A man named Zakariya Mohammed was infected and brought to the Government Medical College, Kozhikode. There he suffers from the symptoms of an unknown virus and, after a few hours, dies. The test for Nipah virus was conducted and it was positive. Then the virus slowly started spreading and affected the whole state. The movie ends with Zakariya saw a flying fox (a breed of bats) that was on the ground. He went there and before coming in contact with the bat and took a picture of the bat for his Instagram story.

How you felt about this film

I felt very shocked as how some contact with animals can spread virus in humans. The world should be a safer place for all living organisms to interact, rather than living in fear.

The movie was about the coronavirus or Covid 19 virus that spread and killed people like wildfire. The movie portrays a scientist and his struggle to create an Indian made vaccine.

What happened in the movie

The movie showed the events of the time of Covid 19 where everyone was stuck at home. The director focuses on a team of doctors who are eager to find the vaccine. The movie also showed the hardships of the doctors.

How you felt about this film

I was very impressed with how everyone fought against the disease. They stopped the spread and created vaccines within months. The movie impressed me a lot.
