Model Answer 1

What course it is (or, would be)?

Since education is a continuous process, we constantly take in information and assess it in light of our knowledge. A technique to study about a subject in-depth and to become knowledgeable is through courses and degrees. I'd want to pursue a course or topic called marketing in the future. Because of how prevalent marketing is in society and how it affects us as individuals, I have always been interested in learning more about it.

Where you would do it?

As part of my MBA (Masters in Business Administration) from INSEAD, I'd like to focus on marketing. It is a well-known B-School with a varied student body from a variety of backgrounds, which would improve group learning. Because every person is a consumer in some form and because marketing is all about consumer perception. If I can be accepted, the course will need me to work tirelessly on my profile. If so, obtaining a student loan would be significantly simpler given the institution's reputation.

What you would learn in that course?

My main area of interest in marketing is observing consumer behaviour. Due to the digital shift, there is a lot of online marketing taking place on many digital platforms, with social media taking centre stage. I thus want to study Digital and Social Marketing in-depth and learn knowledge I can use to enhance my career in the corporate sector. In order to comprehend the marketing environment in the actual world, I wish to conduct various market studies while studying.

Explain why you would like to do this course?

There are a number of factors that make me want to take this course. First of all, every commercial has interested me and influenced my purchasing choices since I was a child. I've always been interested in studying marketing since I'm aware of how it may affect both me and other people. Second, as long as we have a capitalist attitude, the course will always be relevant, which will help me find a career that I enjoy. As long as I am familiar with the current marketing practises and the continuous changes. Finally, my life's ambition has been to master marketing and make a difference in people's lives by providing them with useful products, tools, and services. The aim is to make a difference, and marketing is a useful instrument for imparting knowledge to individuals.

Model Answer 2

What course it is (or, would be)?
Curiosity is what enables learning. It’s our level of curiosity in a certain domain that compels us to study it rigorously to gain a greater understanding. One such subject which I got excited about was Philosophy. In general, when we think of Philosophy, we think of deep contemplation and often misconstrue it as something which we’re all inherently capable of. But few realize that it is a rigorous discipline that teaches one to ask the right questions, evaluate without bias and understand. It has various philosophical theories which have shaped this world.

Where you would do it?
I would like to major in philosophy at New York University in the United States. The University has one of the best course curriculums of philosophy in the world along with some really great Professors to guide. They guide you in the right direction and intrigue your thought process. It is a 4-year course and is well aligned with my future goals.

What you would learn in that course?
Philosophy might seem like a subject that involves only theorizing, but in reality, it is a social science. That has a perfect balance between theorizing and the logical application of concepts. There are various branches of Philosophy like Epistemology, Metaphysics, Ethics, Logic, and Aesthetics. I would love to specialize in ethics and logic. Being an extremely pragmatic individual, these subjects stimulate my brainstorming capabilities in the right way.

Explain why you would like to do this course?

This subject has diverse courses which help an individual to branch out to different career paths. Being a versatile individual with multiple interests, a Philosophy major would enable me to explore various avenues. As it is the foundation of every other subject and will simultaneously make my research skills noteworthy. Another reason why this subject caught my interest is that it would help me understand humans better which will help in better communication. Finally, this major will be a lifelong asset that will continue to grow on me with every passing year through my various life experiences.

Model Answer 3

What course it is (or, would be)?
Every course uniquely enriches our personality. Similarly, which language helps us understand another culture more vividly. One course which I’d like to take up in the future is French. French is considered one of the sweetest languages in the world. It is one of the most popular languages in the world, almost on par with English.

Where you would do it?
French is a language that is commonly taught in various colleges and institutes. But I would like to do the course from Alliance Francaise which is a non-profit organization in around 80 countries. That has a close administrative link with French and is exclusively authorized by the Embassy of France across cities. I would like to study French along with my bachelor’s in college and would take classes after college in the evening at their center. It is a comprehensive course with excellent mentors who develops the speaking, writing, reading, and listening capabilities in French through various tools.

What you would learn in that course?
The course primarily teaches the core language at various levels of proficiency. There are 3 main levels with sublevels within each level which one has to pass to receive the certifications. Every level takes around 6-9 months to complete. So I can easily clear 2 levels and gain a good understanding of the language in terms of writing and speaking French. The course will teach the basic grammar, words, sentence construction, and comprehension of the French language. Make me very fluent in French like a local resident.

Explain why you would like to do this course?

I have always enjoyed learning new languages and understanding different cultures and linguistics. This course will broaden the scope of that interest. Another reason why I want to particularly learn French is that I’ve always wanted to live in Paris and learning French will come in handy. If I ever get to live my dream. Finally, French is a global language that is gaining speakers rapidly, and knowing a global language will always help me in the course of my life.
