Model Answer 1

What the game is about?

I loved playing games, be it on the phone or the computer. There were games that were pretty famous. I remember the one which had a snake in it. My grandfather had a phone which had the game pre-installed. I don’t remember the name of that game but I love the memories that it holds. The game was all about a snake eating dots/ food and growing longer. The head should not touch the tail or the game ends. It had different stages of difficulty also.

When you started playing it?

My brother first introduced the game to me. I was interested at the first go. It tested your patience and thinking capability. There was a snake that would run around and I had to feed it. I could move it up, down, left and right with the buttons on a keypad phone- even smartphones were not available around when the game was there. I remember competing with my brother as to who could get the highest score among us. I would catch the dots and as every engulf passed, the snake would get bigger and the game would get harder. There were three levels in that game- easy, medium, and tough, and I, obviously, played on the tough level.

How often you play this game?

I would always challenge my brother to a game on the tough level for ice cream. The game was only on my grandfather’s phone so; I used to steal his phone every time I wanted to play and would make my grandfather roam around looking for his phone. I would lie about not knowing where it was even though I knew that after so many lies, he would definitely have the idea of where his phone was but I enjoyed messing around with people. I remember my grandfather yelling at me multiple times because he knew that I loved playing the game on his phone and had stolen it so he would threaten to beat me up I made a puppy face every time that ended up making him feel like I deserved the time on his phone and then he would give me the game and some chips. It was more about these situations than the game that I loved.

Why you enjoy playing it?

It was always fun- playing games, challenging my brother, and having some time with my family as an excuse for the game. I don’t think that the inventor of the game would have thought how much joy this game could have brought into the life of a person.

Model Answer 2

What the game is about?

As a kid, I always loved playing games on my phone and computer. I did not live in a society with lots of kids my age so that was also the only option for me. But I did love playing those games so much that I still do.

When you started playing it?

The most played game by me was a game called ghost rider. In that game, there was a ghost riding a bike with a chain-like thing in his hand. Instead of his face, there was fire and it had flames instead of hair. The chain-like thing in his hand could also get fire in them when I used the booster. And the aim of that game was to win a race and kill people. I don’t remember all of it clearly but it was definitely a violent game and that’s why I loved it the most. It was more of a hack-and-slash game and it came after a movie. It was available on PlayStation but I didn’t have that.

How often you play this game?

Luckily, it was also available on my uncle’s phone and he would often leave that phone at home. I would spend hours playing that game until the battery of his phone would get discharged. My little cousins always challenged me to beat the high score and I would always get the highest of all. If there would have been any world championship in that game, I would have definitely won it.

Why you enjoy playing it?

It was so addictive. The game, I believe, came around 2007 and it was on the list of top-grossing. The theme of the game was hell. Even though the PlayStation has improved the game now, I loved the graphics and moments from the time that I played it. The graphics were not very advanced but I did spend my childhood playing that game so, it matters to me no matter what.

Model Answer 3

What the game is about?

To an introverted child with barely one friend in her childhood, games were everything. Phones, computers, and laptops all felt like heaven to me because even if I did not have the ability to interact with others, I could at least express myself through games. And by the category of the games that I played, I would definitely say that games were the easiest way for me to express my anger or my mind. I played a variety of games- from cooking to racing to fight games but I enjoyed playing the ones that involved mental exercise.

When you started playing it?

Now, called chess.com was yet to be launched back in the day so, there was a game called 3D chess on computers and I loved playing it. Just like a normal chess game, it had both black and white pieces, consisting of 32 pieces overall and 64 squares. I loved calculation and playing chess still feels like my relaxation time to me. It energized me back in the days and still does even now. I did not have an offline game and I also did not have any friends to play games with.

How often you play this game?

I only had a brother to play with who hated chess. So, the computer was always my partner and my opponent. I loved every time that I would get defeated by the computer because with every defeat, I got to learn new tricks. In the beginning, I was too young to even know how to spell chess but after a year of losing every game with the computer, I was able to even defeat the computer and that was more energizing to me than any energy drink. I loved playing against the computer and as the game advanced, with random people online. I loved watching people get shocked over my gameplay.

Why you enjoy playing it?

Every game gives me hope. It was that game that gave me the life lesson of not giving up until I have learned from my defeats and given my best to them.
