Model Answer 2

When was it?

Books, in my opinion, can be a man’s best friend. In April of this year, I was sitting and starting to get bored. I had been at the residence for many days and couldn't go out either due to a lockdown imposed as a result of this dreadful pandemic. I had grown tired of watching web series and movies when I suddenly remembered that my mother had given me a book written by my favorite famous chef Nigella Lawson during their visit to Canada in 2018. I didn't even have time to unwrap the book because of my busy schedule. I quickly made myself a pot of joe and went to my closet to get that book. 'Eating Vintage Mini' is the name of the game.

What type of book is it?

Nigella Lawson lays out a policy platform for how to prepare and enjoy healthy food every day with minimal fuss in this inspiring, witty, and eminently sensible book. Nigella brings joy back into the kitchen with recipes ranging from basic roast chicken and pea rice to white wild mushrooms and Turkish Delight figs. The recipes are taken from Nigella Lawson's books 'How To Eat' and 'Kitchen by Nigella', along with some time-saving tips and tricks.

What is it about?

I finished the book in five days. Reading about the delectable recipes and incredible cooking techniques and tricks was both relaxing and fascinating. Nigella Lucy Lawson is indeed a British food writer, chef, and host of a cooking show. Her first cookbook, How and Where to Eat, was published in 1998 and went on to sell 300,000 copies, making it a bestseller. How to Be a Domestic Goddess, her second book was published in 2000 and managed to win her the British Book Award for Writer of the Year. Nigella bites, Nigella feasts, Nigella's Christmas Kitchen, and Nigella Express were among the many cooking shows she hosted in her kitchen.

Why did you find the book useful?

From 2011 to 2013, I watched all of these shows on TLC. Then I started to read her books and experiment with her recipe books in our home. I felt confident enough after having read Eating Vintage Mini to try some of the recipes in the book, such as couscous salad, pea risotto, and proper English trifle.
