Band 8 IELTS Essay

More and more, local tourism is being boosted through the employment of traditional cultural emblems. Some people support this decision because they think that doing so will help to preserve their local cultures. Nevertheless, others claim that monetizing cultural practices may inevitably lead to the extinction of their native civilizations. According to me, cultural tourism preserves traditional cultures and values rather than destroying them.

Greater exposure to these cultures is achieved by fusing traditional cultural elements with regional tourism. To be more precise, locals are bringing their own cultures to the attention of the entire world by presenting indigenous activities. Moreover, handicrafts, and artwork in front of foreign tourists. This will aid in the dissemination of their culture throughout the world. And an increasing number of people will be interested in travelling to those vacation spots. The spots that are renowned for offering unique cultural encounters. This will assist local artists and craftspeople earn a better living while also enhancing local culture and customs. For instance, this is a fantastic method to promote regional dance and art forms that may be waning in appeal to the local public.

On the other hand, excessive tourism-related exploitation of cultural traditions may inevitably result in problems. The visitor experience is harmed if the local culture is crudely altered to serve the needs of tourism, and this may even reflect poorly on the culture. For instance, I participated in a culture immersion trip when I was on vacation in Yunnan Province in Southwest China to learn more about the local way of life. The tour, however, was badly planned, and everyone was pressured into purchasing regional handicrafts. I had a bad experience, and I won't tell any of my friends about this place.

In other words, many destinations are suffering more negative effects than positive effects from the blending or fusion of culture with tourism.

In conclusion, promoting culture to promote tourism is not harmful. It not only improves the country's standing. But also gives local artists a living. To prevent the effect from being ineffective, it is crucial to accomplish this in an artistic manner.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

Undoubtedly, many nations use their cultural traditions to entice tourists to visit. It serves as a draw for tourists. Therefore, some people think that when these traditions are used for profit, they might be destroyed. While others claim that it is the only way to keep these traditions alive. I completely concur with the latter opinion.

The foundation of any nation's economy is, first and foremost, its tourism sector. These industries not only generate the greatest number of employment opportunities. But they also provide chances for the global dissemination of local culture. The tourist industry provides a living for many individuals. In many countries, the tourism industry is the only source of revenue for the hotel, motel, food, and transportation sectors. As a result, local businesses and residents benefit from the money generated by these enterprises. These are then used by them to pay for necessities like food, shelter, and clothing.

In addition to the aforementioned, if cultural traditions were not used for profit, our artists would not be able to profit from their work. This further reveals our culture and traditions. As a result, the world would never be aware of our rich cultural heritage. And we would lose the opportunity to share it with the rest of the world. Our artists are more inventive and creative than those of the competition, but if the cultures cannot support our artists financially. Then they should be worthless. On the other hand, some obstinate people believe that these traditions lose their inherent characteristics when they are employed for financial gain. Foreign travellers also show little regard for the cultures of other nations. Moreover, they have a good education. Because of this, they occasionally make fun of some holy rituals, making it difficult for local laymen to mix with them. Finally, tourists occasionally treat locals in a poor manner.

In order to preserve these ancient customs and civilizations, the government should create some flexible laws. And make some amendments to the existing ones. Additionally, artists must use these cultures as a means of support, thus it will be advantageous for both.

Band 6 IELTS Essay

Children today lack knowledge of tradition and culture. They spend more time in the virtual world than the actual one. On the other hand, few people believe it is the best strategy to keep customers. Some believe the old ideology and philosophy will be employed as a business, luring tourists. However, I will be discussing both points of view in this essay and outlining my viewpoint in the section below.

On the one hand, traditions are harmed since they are exploited to make money from visitors. It is as a result of the internet's accessibility to knowledge about anything. The video lessons, pictures, and descriptions are thoroughly explained. Furthermore, some locations charge exorbitant fees.

Some families think the funds are a waste. National parks, for instance, smell awful. Some people believe that the funds raised are not adequately utilised inside the park. Additionally, the price collected for foreign tourists in some countries is two times larger, leading visitors to believe that the website is a company.

However, cultural practices must be preserved for tourists rather than used as a means of making money. First off, in some places, the government does not pay for cleaning expenses or employee salaries. People are therefore responsible for managing them. Additionally, a brief getaway can be educational as well as a fun time with loved ones. For instance, the palace requires more revenue to keep its lustre. A palace must be seen and appreciated because each visit is unique from what we hear or read.

After considering both points of view, I believe that in order to preserve the antiques. These cultural sites should be accessible to the general people at a low fee. Even so, there will be an entrance fee that goes toward maintaining the location and preserving its unique cultural heritage. Museums, for instance, use the objects they display and price fluctuations to learn about the past. The money obtained is used to keep the facility in good condition and to pay the employees. Such locations must always be kept in good condition for the sake of future generations.

In conclusion, even though technology makes it possible to access any data with a single click, a visual feast is more memorable and unforgettable. Therefore, rather than turning cultural heritage into a business. It can be maintained for the future. Additionally, income might be used for charitable giving and maintenance.
