Creative Artists Should Always Be Given The Freedom to Express their Own Ideas IELTS Writing Task 2

The artists are the first individuals to become entangled in this commotion. Many people hold the opinion that artists ought to be free to express their emotions and thoughts anyway they choose. However, some people believe that allowing artists to voice their liberal viewpoints could harm culture.

We have witnessed the emergence of art even before science entered the picture. On the cave walls, cave dwellers formerly drew depictions of their way of life. The existence and development of humans are shown in these cave paintings. Over time, the art form changed gradually. People have begun to distinguish between numerous art forms, such as music, movies, images, paintings, poems, and novels, among others. These artists express themselves freely and freely write, paint, or sing. That is not subject to any limitations. Presenting lovely ideas is not always the definition of art. It can also cause revolution and be opposed to a country's policies. Satyajit Ray, Shakespeare and Bob Marley were legends who brought about revolution.

In addition to serving their particular industries, but also to inspire others to keep aiming for the top. In today’s society where people interact over social media, thoughts are easy to express. The views of the artists reach millions of people just at the click of a button. All the artists are able to express their feelings and ideas very easily. This also creates an impact on the people of society. Hence, these thoughts must be good when so many people are seeing and getting affected. There is a requirement to restrict the thoughts that are not good for society. Artists should be able to express their thoughts but if that thought creates havoc and hurts the sentiments of the people, it should be stopped. I believe the thoughts should have a limit and the artists should be responsible for that. They are the ones who can stir up society. That can be done until and unless it is done for the greater good. Legends like Shakespeare, Satyajit Ray, and Bob Marley brought a revolution in their own fields but also motivated people to keep on striving for the best. This should be the motivation and inspiration for modern artists. If the thoughts are disturbing and create violence in society, they should be restricted. This can be done in any field like books, movies etc. There is also a censor team which cuts and edits the scenes in a movie that are disturbing to society. I believe that the artists should be able to express their thoughts but the artists should not do that to create panic in society.

Even before science became a part of our life, the sounds of nature, the cave paintings of early man and story-telling showed us the roots of human existence. Gradually, as people developed through time, ‘art’ began to inspire various creations among men. Different kinds of music and different forms of writing stirred a mountain of emotions in people. Legends like Leonardo da Vinci, Shakespeare, Satyajit Ray, Bob Marley brought a revolution to their own fields. They also motivated people to keep on striving for the best. This is what an artist should do. They should inspire people to do good in life. The government also should promote such art. If the artist’s thought brings revolution that is good for society, we should inspire and support that thought. On the other hand, ideas or books or movies that hurt the sentiment of any genre, group or religion should be immediately stopped. To conclude, artists should understand which thought is harmful to society and which is not. They should express their thoughts and enjoy the right to freedom of expression. However, they should also keep in mind the emotional and sentimental attachments of people.
