Computers and modems have made it possible for office workers to do much of their work from home IELTS Writing Task 2 consists of three sample answers provided below. The task requires the candidates to provide a tentative and argumentative answer for the question. The sample answers comprises two parts: Introduction and body. The introduction is a brief description about the topic. The body contains argumentative statements and tentative answers to support the test-taker's perspective.
IELTS writing task 2 provides candidates an opportunity to express their knowledge and views based on the topic. IELTS writing score is marked based on band scores. The band scores range from 0 to 9. Band 6 IELTS Essay

With technological advances, it has been possible for computers and modems to be set up in such a way that office workers could actually work from home. Instead of working from the office everyday, people can now work from their homes and needs to be encouraged effectively. I agree with this development and people should be encouraged to work from home because of the various benefits to both employees and employers. For the employees, the benefits come from the fact that they can work at their own pace.

They are free of any distractions and it helps them focus on their work effectively, without worrying about any noise or too many breaks. Moreover, the employees find it comfortable to work from their homes. They get enough time to eat and keep themselves busy while not compromising on their work schedule as well. Encouraging the work from home would enable them to work in an environment which is highly motivating in terms of completing tasks with greater efficiency. Furthermore, employees are able to save time and travel costs which adds to their benefits in living a proper life. The work-life balance is definitely restored effectively with the work from home culture. On the other hand, it benefits the employers as well. With better focus on work by the employees, employers benefit in getting their projects and tasks completed with higher levels of perfection. The performance of the employees certainly increases and this helps the employers in achieving their organizational goals and objectives. The investments in hardware and other infrastructure decreases for the employer and they can invest in their businesses instead. The employers are able to contact and keep in touch with the employees’ work through the online channels. It helps in ensuring that the employees workplace environment is also comfortable. Employers do not have to worry about longer vacations and holidays while the employees have the ability to relax more often. Hence, work from home has its own benefits that have been possible due to technological developments.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

In the technologically developing society and the modern world, it has become quite common to endure the work from home mode of workplace culture. With the help of computers and modems, people can now work from their homes and not have to visit the office everyday. This is one of the most positive developments which I feel needs to be encouraged. However, while encouraging the work from home model, it is important to even consider the challenges that might occur. Foremost, it is essential to focus on the major benefits that work from home entails.

Employees are able to work from the comfort of their homes, enabling them to work in a completely relaxed mode. This helps the workers in being able to have flexible working hours. This typically helps in improving their efficiency at work thus, being able to ensure that they contribute to organisational development. Moreover, for even the employers, the overhead costs of infrastructure would reduce to a great extent along with rental costs which can be expensive. It may be identified that through the online channels of video conferencing even the problems of meetings could be resolved. The employees with the least amount of distraction as well as their creative space develops. With a higher level of efficiency, the systems would function with reduced errors hence facilitating business success. However, the challenges occur in terms of ineffective communication possible between leaders and managers. If lack of communication takes place eventually, the employee productivity would decrease and performance would be affected. The accuracy of the tasks may be hampered due to the distractions caused by family issues and requirements hence, affecting the environment of work. However, in my opinion performance is more improved than affected and hence, the benefits may outweigh the challenges. Thus, work from home environment and culture needs to be encouraged.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Modern technology has made it simple to make computers and models available for use in conducting business. Given how important this is for both employees and businesses, some individuals think it should be promoted for people to work from home rather than in the office. However, others hold the opposite view. In support of the aforementioned claim, this essay will provide arguments for why people should be encouraged to commute to work from their homes.

On the other hand computers and modems have made it simple for everyone to complete their tasks from home. They can return home and complete the task even though they don’t have enough time to perform their tasks in the office. For example, with the aid of a machine, one me quickly moved your job data or files from one Laptop to another. Does, when the employee loses your file on their own home laptop or computer, they can complete the responsibility from residence without any stress. Even in the case of their inability to travel to the workplace due to a family emergency or other circumstances. They can still complete their business from their lodging. Does as a result of the company and the employee get benefited.

Others, however, contend that the practice of working from home should not be emphasised. It might be that people aren’t as interested in achieving goals from their accommodations. For instance, if someone enters the correct data because they are distracted by family difficulties, it will be bad for both employees and employers. To mitigate these problems, the employer might offer them a bonus or reward to encourage them to focus more. They would exercise their profession honestly from within their comfort zone. However in my opinion this type of instance only occurs in one or 2% of people. It's also true that local working emphasis can always foster positive relationships. This relationship tends to be developed between the employees and the employees because of their mutual understanding and support. This mutual understanding and support helps to boost business efficiency.

To conclude, even if some individuals disagree with laptop-based work from home. I agree that having employees work from their own comfort zone is more productive. It helps in liberating peasants from pressure to perform better for the company‘s economic growth. Furthermore it benefits both the workers and the employer.
