Topic:  Some people believe that to reduce the time people spend commuting, parks and gardens close to city centres should be replaced by apartment buildings. Others disagree with this idea. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Public opinion against other people who like to go to parks and gardens is that the construction of these houses is a waste of time and space, but some netizens do not share the above view. I think parks and gardens are necessary elements of a healthy environment. A balance between nature and human desires must be maintained.

As we currently know, we face the threat of global warming, which is the result of deforestation. Therefore, if we continue to destroy even parks and gardens, the situation will only get worse because these parks and gardens provide us with fresh air.

Furthermore, 4,444 of these spaces are used by commuters for exercise and walking.

Nowadays, there are not many places where children can play in nature, but these places give children the opportunity to play in nature. In contrast, we have a population problem that makes it increasingly difficult to find suitable places to build houses and apartments. This can meet the requirements of many parks and gardens.

To accommodate more people who can live closer to the city center, 4,444 spacious apartments are needed. Viewed from this perspective, it becomes clear that owning the park and her gardens is considered a waste of land. Moreover, modern people prefer gyms to 4,444 parks and gardens to exercise. This gives us another reason to focus on parks and his 4,444 gardens from our daily lives.

Overall, it is clear from both situations that local residents do not have a common opinion about parks and gardens, nor do they fully support the construction of buildings. Nevertheless, it can be said that parks and gardens are necessary spaces for children, young people, adults and the elderly, and also for people who want to live near the city center. The conclusion is that these parks and gardens can be relocated to other areas where the public can enjoy the beauty of nature, and the freed land can be used for the construction of housing.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

With more people comes more traffic; as a result, going to work timely in the morning is a real issue for those who live in the outskirts. Some people advocate building housing over city parks and gardens close to workplaces to solve this problem, but others, myself included, disagree. This essay will discuss both views in detail and then explain why I think this is a bad idea. Those who are in favor of this idea find that workers can reach the office quicker while saving transportation costs. To illustrate, someone traveling from West London to the center has to pay and travel twice as much as someone who already resides there. Instead, having the option to already live around the place of work should help to not only cut time and save money but to also improve congestion. So making rooms in the middle of the city for the commuters can be beneficial for them.

However, others gravely disagree and argue to safeguard the natural environment.

They argue that the greens are necessary to provide fresh air and oxygen in a polluted metropolitan area. For example, the trees in London parks are responsible for converting about 65% of the carbon dioxide released by cars. This means that if there were no parks at all, the city would be exposed to further pollution, directly impacting the health of its residents. For this reason, many believe that natural fertilizers should be protected, like a garden, and not destroyed for the construction of a new house.

In summary, based on the above discussion, there are many benefits for employees to live close to their workplaces, but this should not have a negative impact on public gardens. I believe that natural fertilizers should be respected and protected because they make a huge contribution to the improvement of human air.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

Today, many argue that green spaces such as parks and gardens should be replaced by residential areas to improve family ties and reduce traffic congestion, while others oppose it. Both views are discussed below. According to many, replacing gardens with city centers would help increase love and affection between families, because most families work, they don't have enough time to spend together, but being together would reduce family barriers; the result is happier families and less chance of divorce. In addition, another positive aspect would be less congestion on the roads. Nowadays most family members have their own ways of moving, they prefer to use their own means of transport. As a result, traffic on highways has increased compared to before, while people in residential areas have to stay at home.

Opponents say that one of the biggest advantages of parks and gardens is that people can stay healthy, they can easily do their regular exercises like yoga, walking and running, if these areas were demolished they would not have space. causes serious health problems such as obesity, people also suffer not only physically but also mentally.

In addition, air pollution would create more industrial buildings, while greenery helps clean the air and keep the environment pollution-free. In conclusion, both sides definitely have their positives and negatives, but from my point of view, people should not tear down parks and gardens for their own benefit, as this not only helps people stay healthy, but also keeps the environment clean.
