Topic: Some people believe that children should be allowed to stay at home and play until they are six or seven years old. Others believe that it is important for young children to go school as soon as possible. What do you think are the advantages of attending school from a young age?

Model Answer 1

A proper education for children is considered to be vital for their robust future. Thus, parents want to admit their children into school as early as possible. In this fast paced world, it is mandatory for children to inculcate skills such as socializing, cooperation and sharing. These skills are a must for a child to survive in the world. Therefore, these skills must be imparted to them at an early age. Schools play an intricate role in imparting these qualities to children. Also, schools help children to showcase their talents and nurture them further. From an early age, if children are given the right platform to work on their talents, it helps them to build their self-confidence and be independent individuals in the future. Therefore, I do not concur with the fact that children should not be allowed to go to school until they are six or seven years old. Sending children to school at an early age can reap numerous benefits. It might be uncomfortable for them initially, but children gradually become accustomed to it. The schools today now have numerous tools to impart knowledge to children effectively. Teachers at the school are constantly working to make learning for children as simple as possible with the use of technology. With the use of animations, graphics, innovative assignments, e-learning tools, learning today has become much more interesting and intriguing. Moreover, I believe that education is vital for a child in today’s world. Some parents are scared to send their children to school at an early age, fearing they might be bullied or might not adjust well. There are now counselors available at every school that can analyze children’s behavior or address any other issues they might have. Times are changing rapidly, thus parents must also keep up with these changing times. If parents wait for their ward to go to school until they are ready there is no guarantee they will get adjusted to the new environment at a later age. It might even get more complex and difficult to send their wards to school by the time they are six or seven years old. At an early age children are inquisitive, sharp and can benefit a lot from going to school. The importance of education from an early age must not be neglected. Education is paramount in a child’s life and will undoubtedly go on perpetually. Therefore, I stress that parents must send their wards to school as early as possible to inculcate in them the necessary skills and become responsible citizens of tomorrow.

Model Answer 2

People have a divided opinion as to at what age children must be sent to school. Some people believe that children should stay at home until the age of six or seven. On the contrary, some believe that children should be admitted to school as early as possible. In this fast-paced world, I concur with the latter as I think children should be groomed from a young age. Education for a child is essential and schools play an important role in nurturing children. Children from a young age must be inculcated with skills such as sharing, cooperation, teamwork, and so on. These ethics are important for children to learn to survive in the world.

Besides, being taught moral ethics children in schools also get the right platform to showcase their talents and nurture them further. There are many children out there who from a very young age are good at singing, dancing, painting, even sports. Parents must give their wards a boost to pursue their skills further and also guide them in the right direction. Schools are the stepping stone to building a child’s skills , their talents, and mold them to be independent and resilient citizens of tomorrow. Thus, the earlier children are admitted into school the quicker they learn to mingle with their other classmates. Parents sometimes are fearful of sending their wards to school at an early age due to separation, the fear of their child being bullied, or simply because their ward is not yet ready to go to school. Parents must remember that initially it is difficult for children but eventually they get accustomed to their environment. Education from an early age is as important and must not be neglected. Personally speaking my parents had admitted me to a school when I was three years old. I remember being reluctant at first but gradually started liking this new change in environment. Thus, I think children must not be allowed to stay at home until they are six or seven, instead they must be sent to school at a young age.

Model Answer 3

There has been a considerable debate over the topic on whether children should go to school at the age of six or seven. Sending children to school at the age of six or seven has its own merit, like children at the time are ready and not reluctant to go to school. However, it might not be the scenario every time. I personally believe that parents must send their wards to school at an early age. Parents who send their wards to school at an early age have an increased grasp of their language. Some research depicts that children until the age of five are fast learners, thus at this age it is easier for them to grasp things like learning english or hindi alphabets, math and so on. Secondly, children at a young age easily mingle with their peers. Thus, they tend to be more social. Children also learn the importance of being collaborative at school. Thus, children not only learn their subjects thoroughly but also learn social skills that are necessary in today’s world. People who oppose this view believe that we live most of our lives as adults with a plethora of responsibilities. Our childhood already has a limited time span. Thus, people oppose that children should stay and play at home until they are seven. The age seven is young enough to be inundated with lessons and to be given responsibilities in the form of homework. In conclusion, although I believe that both sides have strong arguments. I personally believe that children must be sent to school at 3 or 3.5 years of age. It is the right age to send children to school as their minds are developing and it is the perfect time for them to be learning things. As they grow older they will no doubt be burdened with responsibility. To evade them from homework and assignments from a young age will be slowing down the development of their minds. Therefore, I concur that children must be sent to school early and it must not be postponed until they are six or seven years old.
