Children Should be Taught to be Competitive IELTS Writing Task 2 consists of three sample answers provided below. According to some people, a sense of competition in children is important. While.others argue that cooperation is more important. I will discuss both the views and will reach a reasonable conclusion.
Sense of competition is important to keep up the motivation. Motivation comes from wanting to be unique. Competing with others identifies our own weakness. It enables us to convert our weakness into strength. It also makes us more confident. In today's race towards success it is important to be unique. Being unique doesn't necessarily mean to be extraordinary. But it means to do something which others of your age are not doing. It is putting extra effort into a particular thing. Competition boosts the performance rate and increases the rate of success. One gets to explore different potentials and talents. It also keeps a balance between confidence and over confidence.
While on the other hand, competition might turn into aggression sometimes. Being possessive and extra aggressive towards winning might result in losing. Cooperation should be involved while competing. One must not become emotionless towards others. It is often seen that in sports players get too aggressive to win that they result in death of the other. They become emotionless. No sympathy or empathy is seen during such competitions. However, it is important to focus on winning. But cooperation is more important. Corporations lead to a respectful outlook. It enables one person to be more helpful towards others.
Children should be taught to compete. But they should also be taught to manage their cooperation along with competition. They should not be forced to win. It will make them over confident. Cooperation in every field is important. One must not consider himself/herself superior. Everybody has their own talents and potential. One must excel at something without hurting others feelings. Competition is important but might result in disadvantage when taken too seriously.

Some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged. While others are of the opinion that cooperation is more important. I support the latter viewpoint. I will be presenting arguments to prove my point of view.
Competition is seen in every field. Going to appear in a government examination is seen as common. But the level of competition seen there might be stressful. There is a lot of competition in every sphere of life. One tries to excel in something and be the superior. One tries to suppress others through their own skills and potentials. One forgets to notice the other's excellence. It is quite noticed that people become over confident and over proud by winning competitions. They might consider themselves so high that they disrespect others. They become less sympathetic towards others. There might be a few who are able to control.the rush of winning. But competition always results in aggression. People get addicted to winning. They try to win every competition and every field. This results in hurting of other's emotions and feelings.
Cooperation should be encouraged. Children should be taught to encourage and co-operate with everyone. They should.be taught to participate in competition but with cooperation. One must not see himself/herself. He/she should also focus on the others. Cooperation leads to greater winnings. Cooperation is the key to success. Cooperation and competition can be seen in sports like basketball, football etc. During such games, one needs to cooperate with others in order to win. Such lessons should also be applied in everyday lives.
To conclude, cooperation is as important as competition. But I should be encouraged. While children should be taught to co-operate more rather than compete and become over confident. Becoming overconfident at an early age will affect the performance rate. They might consider themselves as the one and only superior.

Some argue that competitive attitudes in children should be encouraged. While others claim that learning them the way to cooperate with their peers would make them better adults. In my view, this can be a sensitive issue to debate. But I might choose to have a competitive and cooperative child Because the combination of those two characters will increase the kid significantly.
Firstly, competing together with your classmates will enhance your performance intellectually and physically. As an example, having a category of scholars filled with motivation. In addition, the desire to get full marks, will cause a higher atmosphere within the class, and increase the extent of education. Similarly, when it involves sports, competitive attitude is crucial to achieve fame and success. But sometimes, it might become a demerit or negative. Some athletes get aggressive due to competition. It might turn out to be a losing point for that athlete.
On the other hand, raising children with the spirit of cooperation and giving a hand to the needy ones will create a society stuffed with charity. Also, it'll decrease the number of crimes in this society. Teaching children a way to accommodate poor, injured, and handicapped people is an act of humanity. Conversely, a society filled with selfish, greedy, and power-loving individuals will cause moral collapse and plenty of social problems. Cooperation should be encouraged. Some people get too involved in competition that they forget everybody is unique in their own way. Some might be good at one thing and others at some other thing. Everybody is unique in their own sense. So everybody should cooperate with each other. Instead of judging on the scale of winning and losing.
Therefore, in my point of view, it's better to show our kids a way to treat others right. Eventually, these two results will yield economic progress, and financial benefits.
In conclusion, children should be taught the way to achieve success in their lives. Raising children with good characters is necessary. These include helping others, and competing with others in numerous fields will put them on the proper path for fulfillment and prosperity.
