Band 8 IELTS Essay

Some people support the idea that pupils should take additional classes after school, while others disagree. But given the importance of securing a better future, this divergence in viewpoints is set against the backdrop of growing competition in the education sector. Parents of kids of all ages are vying for extra classes, whether they are offered by the school or in some cram schools. Children should take additional classes after school, according to some individuals, and they have a point.

The proponents of more classes make arguments. It includes things like extra lessons and extra care for the kids, so it can meet any unique educational requirements they might have. Thus they cannot be dealt with in a regular educational setting. When the school offers extra lessons for no cost or at the same cost, they are quite beneficial.

It is well known for its coaching centers, which are an addition to conventional classroom learning in today's educational ecology. Here, each person's performance is tracked separately, and in the event of a question or issue, they are given friendly, committed trainers. Discussions are made easier because of the environment, which is somehow less formal in these extra lessons than in a classroom at a regular school. Additionally, many coaching institutes don't have a variety of objectives. It implies that all of the students can relate to one another and can assess the competition's characteristics in real-time. However, other people don't think kids need to take extra lessons after school because those classes put more work on the kids.

If we add up the time spent in education and extracurricular activities, it exceeds the 8 hours that many nations require of their employees. Not to mention that workers get compensated for their productivity and are older than merely school-age children. Education is currently becoming physical labor and a battle against time due to additional classes. In conclusion, extra classes with one-on-one attention might be appropriate for someone who is very introverted or struggles with concentration. However, just because school has turned into a race should not justify forcing pupils into additional courses.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

Some people believe that children should attend extra classes while some disagree. Recently, the competition in academics has increased rapidly due to rising global population and awareness about academic opportunities among people. To put that into perspective Indian Institute of Technology claims to have an acceptance rate of less than 2%.

It’s the best centre of technical education in India. In upcoming paragraphs, I have discussed both opinions and in the concluding paragraph I have expressed my views on the matter. The people who advocate for extra classes advance arguments. It includes like extra classes are like extra attention to children which can cater to any specific educational needs that they might have. Because they can’t be addressed during a formal classroom experience. Extra classes are extremely helpful when the school conducts them for free or within the same fee structure. It can help the economically challenged student study a bit more and for students who come from such a family whose environment isn’t conducive to education. They can find the much-needed guidance and/or peace in extra classes to further expand upon what they have already learnt in classes. Those who disagree with this notion are of the view that classes already provide sufficient homework to engage kids after school for a reasonable amount of time. If they start attending extra classes then most of their time will be spent finishing homework there will be no time for extra-curricular or physical activities. A book smart but socially awkward kid will always be riddled with an inferiority complex. To conclude, extra classes are important which is why schools should provide for it mostly during exams so that students can balance between studying and playing. Also, school provided extra classes benefit those who really need it while these coaching institutes only cater to those who are already privileged.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

There are people who think extra classes are needed and then there are those who think extra classes aren’t needed. The Question of Extra Classes holds importance in the present world of hyper competitiveness in academics. Because prestigious institutions are few and people who want admission in them are in millions.

In the forthcoming paragraphs, I have explored both opinions and their arguments and the concluding paragraph is reflective of my opinion on the subject. In today’s world order where competition for resources has increased manifold education has become a precious commodity. In order to gain excellent quality of education, extra classes are important. They supplement the student’s knowledge from Classes as well as broaden the intellectual horizons of students. Extra classes can provide the students with much needed exposure to specialist and informal discussions which a classroom can’t hold due to several reasons. Extra classes can help improve grades of students and can bring students up to speed if they have missed classes due to genuine emergencies. On the other hand, there are people who don’t find the idea of extra classes agreeable. According to them, education has been turned into a capitalistic venture due to this pressure to perform. And private coaching centres only feed onto this fear. This is forcing parents to take drastic measures with their children who are swamped with work throughout the day. This could badly affect the mental health of children and it’s obviously a boring hole in parents’ pockets. This Extra Class culture also gives schools an excuse to charge exorbitant fees while not providing quality education. This also promotes exploitation of teachers by continuing poor salary trends. And is a major obstacle in the way of financially challenged students who can’t pay for these extra classes, the competition becomes a little unfair for them. In conclusion, the Extra Classes might be good for students with underprivileged and/or problematic backgrounds. But it’s no excuse for Schools to provide the quality of education that is expected from them. I appreciate Chinese policy in this regard. They have banned all forms of private tuition while allowing schools to conduct extra classes if they wish to do so.
