Chart shows Information about the Ratio of Income to Spending by Americans in 2013 IELTS Writing Task 1 has three model answers. Band 8.5 IELTS Answer

The bar chart shows the money earned and spent by Americans in 2013. The chart shows seven different age groups. The age groups are below 25. 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74 and above 75. The income ranges from 10,000 to 80,000. We can also see that with the increase of income, the expenditure also increases.

When we deep dive, it is evident that the youngest and the oldest earn and spend the least. Also, the striking fact is that these two age groups spend more than they earn. In the age group of 25-34, Americans earn almost 60,000 but spend just about 50,000. The next age group 35-44 earns almost 80,000. However, this middle aged group spends only 58,000. The sdata is almost similar for the age group 45-54. The income is the same but the expenditure just reaches 60,000. For the next age group 55-64, the income decreases to 75,000. The expenditure also decreases to 55,000. The income drastically falls for the age group 64-74 and stands at just above 50,000. The difference between income and expenditure is not much. This age group spends almost 50,000 yearly.

We can see that the income and expenditure starts with less and then increases. After reaching a certain height, it again falls.

Band 8 IELTS Answer

The bar graph shows how much money Americans spent and how much money they made in 2013. The age group shown in the graph consists of 7 different ages.

Between young, middle-aged, and older Americans, the data indicate a general rise and fall in both spending and income. More than spending, income fluctuates strongly. We can also see that with the increase of income, the expenditure also increases.

In fact, people under the age of 25 and over 75 spent slightly more than they earned. On the other hand, Americans between the ages of 25 and 64 earned 10,000 to 20,000 more than they spent. In the age range of 65 to 74, where spending was just a few thousand dollars lower, this disparity narrows.

In terms of actual figures, individuals under the age of 25 and those over 75 earned and spent approximately 30,000 and 35,000 dollars, respectively. 65-74-year-olds earned in the 50,000s and spent in the 40,000s, respectively. Between the ages of 35 and 64, spending was between $55,000 and $65,000, and income was between 70,000 and 80,000 dollars.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

The 2013 earnings and expenditure data divided by age group in the United States are depicted in the bar chart.

Overall, the graph shows that, while layout and revenue both increased linearly with age, the 45- to 54-year-old age group saw the opposite. In addition, people under the age of 25 spent more money than they earned, and people over 75 did the same.

To begin, the people in the first four groups who were between the ages of 45 and 54 had the highest income and expenditure, with close to $8,000 and $6,000, respectively. They were close to the previous age group, but at the beginning of the graph, there was a significant difference. The first age group pays out more than they earn, even though their income was under $30.000.

Turning now to the remaining three groups, we can see that as age increases, both income and expenses decrease. In terms of cost, the men over 75 earned approximately $35,000, which was the same as the average. The other two groups have varying expenses despite earning more than $50,000.
