Band 7 IELTS Essay

Some individuals believe that celebrities, such as movie stars, pop musicians, or sports players, are paid excessive sums of money, and I agree. I completely concur with this idea. Let's get into further detail. We might say that these entertainers are the highest paid people in society in the modern world. As compared to the majority of individuals, they earn a lot more money. This distinction also causes a rise in the number of impoverished persons in the population.

In this paragraph, I'll explain why, in my opinion, these large salaries are unreasonable. First of all, much like other individuals in the world, celebrities go about their daily business. Every single person working in a nation contributes in some way to the national income. Paying excessively high salaries to a small number of employees is therefore unjust. Additionally, wages should be distributed in accordance with the nature of the job rather than popularity. Second, their salaries are far higher than those of other well-educated members of society, such as doctors, engineers, accountants, etc. Knowledge and wisdom are not regarded here as much as they should be. This will surely deter young people from becoming professionals. Thirdly, offering extremely large salaries to celebrities creates an unjust scenario for the impoverished people who are struggling mightily to survive. The majority of government employees may not receive fair pay since the government is unable to secure funding in light of the high salaries of performers. We must not overlook the fact that these payments were made by the government using tax dollars. In conclusion, I agree that celebrities are well compensated and believe that payment systems should operate more wisely and fairly. I believe salary scales ought to be designed far more fairly than they are now. Wages may be determined by a number of factors, including the difficulty of the job, educational attainment, and vocation. Additionally, highly compensated professionals like doctors, engineers, accountants, and lecturers should exist. Because they promote society's educational advancement. However, it also needs to be balanced.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

There is always a controversy about overpaid and underpaid professionals. People are either getting more money than they deserve or less money according to their hard work. Celebrities are in the first category, and many debates are there that they are overpaid. To maintain a flamboyant glittering life, celebrities deserve that amount of money, according to other groups of people.

One cannot deny the high risk of life in a profession of entertainment like doing action in a stunning film. There is no guarantee of life while creating a creative stunt to win the heart of his fans or viewers. Another thing is they do not get a continuous flow of money unlike an employee in a government job. Perhaps they got their whole year's pay working a risky stunt in one film. Though no profession is risk-free, still to maintain their position in the society and influence the society continuously, they deserve that amount of money. Moreover, the lives of celebrities are certainly at par with how they perform. Because it depends on what kind of work they are able to acquire from different fields so as to be paid higher. As we are discussing life risk, just have a look at the work of an army official or a police officer. These professionals are working 24/7 to maintain the peace and the law and order of a particular place to help to run the administrative work smoothly. So they deserve a higher salary for their hectic work unlike the actors. This corona shows us how a doctor’s life is at risk while serving his patients. So they also deserve much respect and money according to their job. Hence, I would like to say that the professionals who are always protecting us from the threats of life, should be paid more than the celebrities. There must be a balance in this distribution of money, so that everyone is justly paid according to their work.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Celebrities are like ideal figures for a society. Not only their work influences common people but also their lifestyle startles common people. Their lifestyle becomes the dream goal of people. Their face impacts a lot, so they are used in advertising. Many emotions are strongly associated with them. So to sum up, we can see how important a role a celebrity plays in a common man’s life though their soul work is to entertain people and earn from this work.

So it is quite fair to get high payment for their work. There are other professions who work much harder than the celebrities who are still underpaid. Teachers have an immense influence in the minds of students who are the future of a country. Teachers are the one who directly mend a child to become a proper responsible man for the country. They are not paid the same amount of money like celebrities. Doctors help a person to stay healthy and cure the disease of a sick person. It is they who help the common people to stay in a disease-less environment. So it is fairly shown that they deserve high money according to their importance of work in everyday life. Celebrities like cricketers, footballers struggle hard to be the one who can influence the whole world. Sportspeople have such a deep influence in the life of a common man. Nowadays, their life is reflected in cinemas and cinemas reflect the struggle of their life and earn a high amount of money. This art form is at the same time influencing and entertaining the common man. The profession of a sportsman includes a high amount of physical labour. So it is okay to be paid highly as a celebrity. Though there is a huge difference in money distribution among the common people and celebrities. Celebrities are paid too much money which is not equal to their work. But common people work hard and pay less. So it is okay to give a celebrity more money than a common man, though there must be a balance in the distribution of money among people.
