Model Answer 1

People nowadays are becoming more popular and are being recognised for their material wealth and glamour rather than their achievements. This certainly sets a bad example and I agree with the point that when children grow up learning and valuing material things rather than quality or value of life. While it is true that nobody is born thinking or having inclination towards material goods but rather they are taught and learnt by children while they grow up. It is important for parents to ensure that while children are being raised, they are presented with good and valuable examples that help them imbibe values which would make them grow up as better human beings. Even unconscious ways of transferring wrong or unfaithful values can cause a lifelong impact on their cognitive and social behaviour. The fact that people being more respected for their wealth rather than achievements can be mostly experienced for the celebrities who might have achieved quite enormous and prestigious awards for achievements but they are only respected and appreciated for their glamour and wealth. It is extremely disappointing when people assume and expect them to always be perfect and never be able to make mistakes while any sort of problem they face, the media tend to troll and disrespect them irrevocably. This typically proves that people have become more inclined as well as consider money and monetary power to have more value that qualitative things in life. people ‘s notions have typically changed from living a quality life to pursuing and measuring things based on money and finances. While these behaviours and values of materialist culture are ingrained from a young age, it becomes important for every child and young person to be growing in a situation where celebrities should not be viewed as people of wealth but need to be seen as people of achievement. Through this it would be possible to consider hard work, skills as well as dedication towards one’s job like the celebrities, as part of life and ways to enhance monetary power.

Model Answer 2

Celebrities have a highly influential role in the modern day society where the young people relentlessly have been watching them on television or in movie halls or theatres, in stadiums, etc. From movies to sports, the fanbase of modern people are growing and it may be considered that whether it is an athlete or a movie star or a singer or politician, the respect that they receive from the current world is derived from their glamour and wealth rather than the achievements they have earned in life. While I disagree with the fact that celebrities are only respected for their glamour and wealth and not for their achievements, it is true that people who are influenced by celebrities’ wealth and appreciate them for their glamour are setting a bad example as well. In the modern world, young people consider being able to afford luxury brands and wearing outfits like their favourite celebrities would make them more fashionable as well as people would love them as much as the celebrities are loved by the people. However, it is true that being influenced by their celebrities, the young fans make up videos and posts that might bring them to the limelight but forget their philanthropic as well as valuable activities they do in life. Furthermore, these young fans forget how hard these celebrities have to work in order to receive the wealth that fans consider is easier to earn. The celebrities in order to have a positive and more optimistic impact on their fans and being global celebrities need to take up the internet and social media to set an example of being appreciated not just for being a kind of sports person or movie star or politician. By influencing the thoughts for values and principles important for life on their fans, they would be able to have a more positive influence on the young.

Model Answer 3

In the modern society where access to internet, social media as well as different online channels for entertainment are available, the influence of these superstars on the youngsters are also high. With the lavish lifestyle of these celebrities, their standard of living and the wealth and glamour that they have are all considered by the younger fans to be more valuable than their actual accomplishments in terms of being able to be part of good movies, or having won tournament titles. In my opinion I agree that it sets a bad example for the younger generation as they grow up having unrealistic ambitions and expectations. Firstly, the younger generations are advanced in understanding and using technologies and the influence of social media platforms have been huge in terms of making them attracted to the glamour and wealth that they possess. However, most often young people are influenced by glamour and wealth rather than their real achievements in their fields of profession. The impact can be considered negative considering that while they set up expectations of being able to become one of their idols, they forget about the fact that their actions and ambitions also require being realistic. Most often, the youngsters are influenced badly by the celebrity lifestyle which makes them waste their time and money on material things just to be more likely to their favourite celebrities. The young teenagers sure fail to realise the massive competition as well as the overhype that these celebrities have in their life because of being popular stars but need to work equally hard in order to be appreciated. However, people need to learn about their profession, their charities and philanthropy as well as their ability to do good for their own family which makes them worthy of being valued and not just their material power or strength.
