Band 7 IELTS Essay

E-commerce has completely changed how individuals conduct business, buy goods, and obtain various services. Online shopping is now a reality for the billions of people who utilize the Internet. And it has significantly altered people's lifestyles and purchasing patterns. With a few exceptions, online shopping offers many advantages. And will continue to grow in importance in the coming years as a means of simplifying people's lives.

To start, online shopping enables customers to order a service or a product from the comfort of their homes. To pay their bills or withdraw money, they are no longer required to make a long trip or stand in a long line. Shopping is now easily accessible because of the growing usage of hand-held smart devices and the Internet. This helps individuals utilize plastic cards, which are more secure, and saves them important time. Online banking, ticketing, e-payment, and subscription services also make it easier. For large numbers of people to avoid traffic jams and contribute to environmental preservation. From the standpoint of a business owner, internet purchasing enables them to operate their operation around-the-clock. Without incurring additional costs such as additional labor, power bills, etc. As a result, they are able to sell their goods for a lower price.

Identity theft and online frauds are two disadvantages of online purchasing that are more prevalent. A credit card or other sensitive personal information used carelessly can frequently attract hackers and intruders who wish to do someone harm. Finally, because an individual cannot personally examine a thing before purchasing it, online shopping frequently results in dissatisfied customers. However, by exercising caution and relying on well-known brands, these drawbacks can be readily avoided.

To sum up, there are a lot more advantages to internet purchasing than disadvantages. Buying online is something I personally do, and I think it has greatly increased our lifestyle and shopping freedom.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

To begin with, due to the expanding generation and advancements in technology, everyone is occupied with their daily activities. New features offered by the internet make shopping simpler and more enjoyable, which is why it is growing rapidly in popularity. Additionally, it has more benefits than drawbacks, and we shall discuss both in this essay.

Online shopping has greatly improved and is now very popular. Since it gives customers access to the vast majority of available selections with only a few clicks. They don't typically go shopping outside after a long day of labor; instead, they do it online. However, while shopping online, customers may compare prices and find amazing deals on the same feature. Saving them time and allowing them to buy it for less money. For instance, if you want to purchase airline tickets, you may check online and find the same tickets. But at various prices from several agents, allowing you to choose the one that is more affordable.

On the other hand, we also can't ignore its drawbacks. Whether a person prefers to shop offline or online depends on their perspective. Even while there is the option of exchanging a component that you ordered online if it is incorrect or damaged. Doing so could take more time than simply making your own purchase from the store. For instance, when ordering books or groceries, there is a chance that you will receive a book with torn pages or the incorrect title.

In conclusion, I believe that internet shopping is more pleasant and convenient than in-store buying, which is more suited to those looking for amusement. While shopping, one can spend time with their loved ones. But sometimes it takes longer because of traffic or because they don't have what they're looking for. The cost can also be a big problem. One doesn't have to worry about any of this when buying online because they can find everything they need in one location.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

Over the years, online shopping has grown incredibly popular. Many people now use the internet as their one-stop shop to purchase everything from books to airline tickets. According to me, there are benefits and drawbacks to this technique of purchasing, and it is difficult to say whether benefits outweigh drawbacks.

On the plus side, purchasing online is incredibly convenient. Nowadays, the majority of individuals have busy schedules, making it difficult for them to shop in person. For them, online shopping is a blessing. It does away with the requirement that orders be placed in person at the stores. Simply touching a few buttons on the screen will allow you to purchase anything you require. Both time and money are saved by this facility. The majority of internet shops also give large discounts on their goods. They are able to provide their products at lower prices than traditional brick and mortar retailers because of their relatively minimal overhead expenses. Before clicking the Buy button, consumers can compare costs across a number of channels.

The majority of online shops also feature a review section where customers may share their thoughts on the goods they purchased. These reviews enable potential buyers to be aware of what to anticipate when purchasing a specific product.

On the other hand, there are a lot of restrictions with internet shopping. First off, reviews can be fraudulent, so you shouldn't base your purchase only on them. The inability to touch or feel the thing before purchasing it is another drawback. Since the delivery time for online orders might take days or even weeks, they are not ideal for last-minute purchases. If you are not satisfied with the goods, you will now need to return it and wait an extended period of time for a replacement.

Finally, the convenience of online buying is its greatest benefit. It does, however, have a number of drawbacks that cannot be ignored. So it's difficult to say, in my opinion, if the benefits of internet purchasing exceed the drawbacks.
