Botanical Garden Tour

The garden is located at the outskirt of the city and is about a mile from the last metro station. Last metro is at 7 pm and the entry in garden is permitted till 9.30 pm. You can take a uber which takes about 6 minutes or you can walk your way to the garden which takes just 20 minutes and the area is picturesque. You can enjoy hot coffee in traditional style cafes that form a hub in the old town area at the edge of the city centre. While you sip on coffee, kids can have a scoop at the iconic ice cream parlour which is situated just beside the famous pizza shop.

Once you reach the garden main gate, you need to go through a security check at the entrance with separate ques for men and women. Children above the age of 8 years and up to 14 years will be charged half the entrée fee compared to the fees charged for an adult whereas for below 8, it is free. Separate section is available for kids 8 years or younger where they can meet Disney characters and enjoy swing rides but the kids need to be followed by any one guardian. Juice corner, pastry shop and grilled cheese shop are located at the right end of the park adjacent to kids play area. Left side of the park has a tea stall and handicraft shop.

The garden is spread over 99 acres of land and consists of 14,000 plant and flower species. Touching and plucking them is prohibited and subject to fine. Damaging a plant can levy a heavy penalty of $150. You are not allowed to carry eatables in this area so better finish them off before entering this section.

The garden has enormous collection of orchids, calendulas, lilies, tulips, magnolia, peony, buttercup etc as well as some of the rare species of flowers such as campion, parrot's beak, chocoiate cosmos and jade vine. If you wish to visit the garden, make sure you reat before 4 pm ecagine it take around 5 hours to take the entire tour and enjo! light show that starts after 6pm.
