Best Way to Improve Health is to Exercise Daily IELTS Writing Task 2 consists of three sample answers provided below. The task requires the candidates to provide a tentative and argumentative answer on the importance of exercise in improving health. The sample answers comprises two parts: Introduction and body. The introduction is a brief description about the topic. The body contains argumentative statements and tentative answers to support the test-taker's perspective.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

The adage "prevention is better than cure" is well known. Being healthy should therefore be a person's top concern before turning their attention to other matters. However, staying healthy and in excellent health is changing in today's quick-paced world.

Daily exercise is a great strategy to improve health. Regular exercise helps to maintain health and prevent disease while also enhancing metabolism. Additionally, exercise aids in improving concentration. Therefore, it is erroneous to claim that exercise is primarily beneficial for physical workers and athletes.

An individual can choose from a variety of workouts, varying from yoga to just meditation, to keep in shape. Chess to sudoku, or volleyball to cricket, depending on the amount of time available. Exercise also develops the five components of physical fitness. These five components are Endurance, Flexibility, Strength, Speed and Coordinative abilities. These components help in prevention of diseases. These components are also essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle. There are various types of exercise one can do to improve these components. The exercises like stretching, acceleration runs and pace runs and many more help to attain growth and development.

If someone is too occupied to participate in any sport, they can do yoga and meditate for no longer than 30 min. Apart from this, he or she can also look forward more to solving puzzles to sharpen mental faculties and boost attention. However, simply exercising frequently wouldn't be sufficient. Keeping healthy also involves a number of additional factors.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and eating a balanced diet are the keys to enhancing health.

As it contains all the necessary nutrients, a balanced diet aids in maintaining physical fitness. A person should also avoid junk food as much as they can and consume cooked meals instead.
On the other hand, exercising excessively would be just as bad as regularly consuming junk food. A person must exercise to the best of their capacity because overdoing it can have negative effects. Such as ripped muscles, electrolyte loss, muscle exhaustion, and injury.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

A healthy person is one who is physically and mentally fit. The key to physical fitness is doing exercise. Doing exercise on a regular basis keeps a person motivated, fresh, energetic, and in good shape. However, a critical aspect of exercise is the proper form. Almost all the exercises require a person to maintain the proper form and posture, failing which might prove to be counterproductive.

For instance, consider the exercise called ‘dumbbell rows’. This exercise makes the use of weights for training back muscles. It requires a perfect posture as an incorrect form will move some other muscles and might lead to sprain, backache, muscle pull, or even torn muscles. Hence, consulting a professional trainer prior to starting exercise is advisable.

Although many people advise exercising for improving health, it is still possible to remain fit without doing exercise daily. This approach needs the doer to take enough sleep - around 6-8 hours. Take a properly balanced diet, live a tension-free life, enjoy life, stay positive, and stay as happy as possible. These aspects of staying healthy do not require any physical work. But it is still harder than doing physical exercise as a discipline is a prerequisite for such a lifestyle.

On the other hand, for mental fitness, a person should engage his/her mind in mental games. Such as Chess, Brain vita, Sudoku, Othello as well as puzzle solving. These activities make the brain work at full potential. Hence, improve thinking abilities, concentration, creativity, and induce innovation. Moreover, these games compel the payer to think out of the box and these are also not easy to cheat. In addition to this, the physical fitness of the person also increases as he/she becomes more confident and productive. Also, many behavioral and metabolic changes occur in this process that, in the long term, help in living a disease-free life.

Therefore, it can be concluded that exercises are a part of a healthy lifestyle but they are not the only means to improve one’s health. Always remember, an unhealthy/unfit mind would never lead to a healthy lifestyle.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

Health is an essential aspect of everyone's and each person wants to stay healthy. The reason being, health is related to productivity in work, confidence, and increased life expectancy.
An unhealthy person would miss most of his day at school/college/office due to diseases and neither learn anything nor produce some work. It is as simple as that.

An efficient way to improve health is to exercise daily. Doing exercise such as running, sprinting, or playing any sport improves blood flow. Maintains blood sugar level, keeps blood pressure at the desired level, and reduces cholesterol level. Exercising is even suggested by doctors for people suffering from a number of diseases.

Furthermore, exercises such as swimming and cycling keep a person fit, increase coordination, mobility, strength, endurance, and improve posture. Also, exercises such as weightlifting and yoga asana help in weight control, boost energy and promote sleep.

However, before starting an exercise we must first put our brains into a fresh and joyful condition. This can be achieved by listening to melodies and meditating regularly. Moreover, people must not opt out of exercising too early on the account of not seeing results. They should trust the process as great things always take time. Therefore, staying optimistic while exercising is also essential.
Doing exercise does not imply weightlifting or too much running every day. The goal of staying healthy can be achieved without exercising heavily. Elderly people or kids, and even fit adults can just perform yoga on a regular basis and the results will still be the same. Also, a brisk walk in a garden in the early morning as well as taking a good sleep will also do the trick.

Hence, from the above-given facts, it is crystal clear that the best way to improve health is to exercise daily or 5 days a week. And Maintain the correct posture. However, individuals should also maintain a balance between exercising, getting enough sleep, and eating enough without getting carried away.
