Amount of Money Given in Aid of Developing Countries IELTS Writing Task 1 is an academic task. The IELTS academic writing task 1 deals with info-graphic questions. The above table represents the amount of money that is given to the developing countries between the years 2006 and 2010 in order to help them improve their level of technology. It is very clear that the amount of capital provided by the different nations has been constantly increasing between 2006 and 2010.

In 2006, the total amount of funds provided to the developing nations was 15.7 billion US dollars. Out of this, about 9.7 billion dollars was given by the US alone whereas about 3.3 billion dollars was provided by the EU countries. The remaining countries gave about 2.7 billion dollars to the developing nations.

In 2007, the total capital provided to the developing nations was around 16.8 billion dollars, out of which 10.5 billion dollars was given by the US whereas about 3.4 billion dollars was given by the EU countries. The remaining 2.9 billion dollars was given by the other countries.

Again, in 2008, out of the total amount of 20.4 billion dollars that was given to the developing countries, about 13.5 billion dollars was donated by the US alone. About 3.8 billion dollars was provided by the EU countries whereas the remaining 3.1 billion dollars was given by the other countries.

The total funds provided to the developing nations in 2009 was almost 24.3 billion dollars. Out of this, nearly 18 billion dollars was provided by the US. The EU countries contributed about 3.7 billion dollars whereas the remaining 2.6 billion dollars was provided by the other countries.

Finally, in 2010, a total amount of around 30 billion dollars was provided to the developing nations, out of which, the US alone donated 22.7 billion dollars whereas the EU countries provided only 4 billion dollars. The remaining countries gave around 3.3 billion dollars, in total.

In conclusion, it can be said that the US gave the largest sum of money in the form of donations to the developing nations.

Again, in the following year, a total of 13.5 billion dollars was given to the developing nations. In 2009, this amount increased to almost 18 billion dollars and by 2010, a total of 22.7 billion dollars was provided to the developing nations.

The EU countries donated almost 3.3 billion US dollars in 2006. In 2007, this amount increased to around 3.4 billion dollars. About 3.8 billion dollars was provided to the developing nations in 2008 which increased to around 2.6 billion dollars in the following year. Finally, in 2010, a total of 4 billion dollars was donated to the developing nations.

The remaining countries gave almost 2.7 billion dollars in 2006. This increased to around 2.9 billion dollars in 2007.
