Band 6 Answer
According to their gender and work level, the chart depicts the length of leisure time spent by men and women in a typical week in 1998–1999 for each gender. In general, men enjoyed more free time than women. And those who were employed had less time to engage in leisure activities than those who were retired or unemployed.
Men with full-time occupations had an average of 45 hours of free time each week, compared to 38 hours for women. The men who work part-time are not given any information. 40 hours a week were spent leisurely for the women in this group. Due to the nature of their jobs, it's possible that this number is slightly greater than the number of women who are employed. In terms of leisure time, men and women who were unemployed or retired had the most of it, with males having a few more hours than women. As was to be expected, people who are retired or jobless work an additional 78 to 82 hours per week on average than those who are engaged in other occupations. Last but not least, housewives spent 50 hours a week doing leisure activities, it was more than employed women but less than women who were jobless or retired.

The graph displays the average amount of leisure time spent by men and women in a standard week in 1998–1999, broken down by gender and employment position.
In general, men had more free time than women, and those who were working had less free time than those who were retired or unemployed.
There is no information for men who work part-time or live at home in the presented column graph. In the remaining situations, men have more free time than women in the same category. Those who are unemployed spend the most time enjoying their leisure.

The bar graph shows the various amounts of free time that were taken during 1998 and 1999 by people with various work situations.
Unemployed and retired folks reported having the most free time. Following part-time and full-time workers in leisure time enjoyment were housewives.
Men spent more time on amusement than women, regardless of gender. More than 80 hours per week for men and just under 80 hours per week for women were spent on recreation by the unemployed population segment. The quantity of leisure time spent by retired men and women was comparable to that of the unemployed. Weekly leisure time for housewives was 50 hours.
In terms of those who were working, part-time female employees put in 40 hours per week of leisure time. Men worked more than 40 hours per week for full-time employees, while women worked fewer hours.
It's interesting to see that both men and women in the unemployed and retired categories spend roughly the same amount of time relaxing. Men and women put in about 85 and 75 hours, respectively. In contrast, just around half of this figure spent free time working, with men and women putting in, respectively, 42 and 38 hours.
In conclusion, the graph shows that men had much more leisure time than women. Probably as a result of women's engagement in home chores. And those lacking jobs had almost twice as much leisure time as those who had jobs.
