The flow chart given above compares the energy produced from the brown coal and black coal, its loss at the power stations, loss while transmitting and distributing before reaching the consumer. It is studied that the maximum energy loss is done by brown coal as compared to black coal.
Firstly, we will study the amount of energy lost while using the black coal. 73% of energy is lost at the power station. The loss of energy during the transmission and distribution is calculated as 3%. Finally, when it reaches the consumers, they will receive only 24% of the total energy. The energy loss is very high while using the black coal.
Now, we will study about the amount of energy lost while using the brown coal. It was studied that initially 63% of energy was lost at the power station. When it reaches the transmission and distribution station, a loss of 3% energy is observed which is the same as that calculated while using the black coal. After all these losses, 34% of energy is finally received by the consumers which is more as compared to that while using the black coal.
So, it is suggested to choose brown coal rather than black coal because more energy is received while using brown coal. So, it is more efficient as compared to black coal.

There are minor variations in the energy loss in both the cases but it still shows that brown coal is more energy efficient as compared to black coal. Now studying the chart, we will observe that the energy lost at the power station is higher in black coal, that is 73% as compared to brown coal, that is 63%. 10% of more energy is lost at the power station while using the black coal. The energy loss is exactly the same at the transmission and distribution station, the portion of energy lost is 3%. Now the produced energy will reach the consumers which is mre in case of brown coal. The consumers will receive only 24% of energy while using the black coal and this percentage is increased by 10% in case of brown coal. This 10% of energy was lost by the black coal at the power station.
So, we concluded that brown coal is more energy efficient as compared to black coal. The greater proportion of energy loss was observed in the case of black coal.

The chart given above shows the amount of energy lost during the generation process while using the black and brown coal. It was studied that more energy was lost while using the black coal and the benefit of this loss was taken by the brown coal which will produce 10% more energy when it will finally reach the consumers.
Initially, both the brown coal and black coal was transported to the power station of 100 units. From the total quantity of the raw material, the energy lost during the generation process at the power station was 73% in case of black coal and 63% in case of brown coal. This loss of energy was the same in both the cases while transmitting and distributing to the consumers. Now, when the produced energy finally reaches the consumers, it will become 24% in case of black coal and 34% in case of brown coal. This energy will be 10% more in case of brown coal which shows that brown coal is more efficient as compared to the black coal.
So, it is suggested to use brown coal rather than black coal during the energy generation process. The more energy will be obtained from the brown coal as there are higher losses while using the black coal.
