Some people might say that governments should try to reduce air traffic by taxing it more heavily. Do you agree or disagree?

With the increased population and increasing demand for flight, the number of frequent flyers have also increased. The low cost for flights around the country and the globe has seen a peak of passengers traveling via air. These things have led indirectly and in some instances directly to air pollution, noise pollution and air traffic. There has been debate whether this should be controlled by increasing the tax on air travel. It is a very well known fact that the airline industry is increasing day by day. There are thousands of young people working for this industry and serving their customers. Increasing the flight fares for air traffic control will definitely reduce the number of passengers and in turn, the number of flights. However, reducing the number of flights by increasing the cost will create an impact on the workers of the airline industry. The increase in high cost of the passenger flights will not only create an impact on the workers. It will also have an impact on the people who need to reach a destination faster or due to emergencies. The government needs to look into these things before they can take the price of the passenger flights higher. On the other hand, we also cannot ignore the fact that the increase in passenger flights is increasing air pollution. These flights emit dangerous chemicals in the atmosphere. The increase in the number of flights is taking up spaces that can be used for other things. This is causing the scarcity of land to live on. Saying this, we also cannot ignore the fact that air traffic is hampering the atmosphere and causing various types of pollution. Only increasing the fares of the passenger flights will not help. The government should look into other options to reduce the number of flights and the pollution. Hence, the government should keep in mind that solving one problem should not lead to another.

The number of passengers traveling by air has increased subsequently over the past few years. This has led to a higher number of passenger flights. The airline companies have decreased the flight fares which has made travel easy for many people. The increase in the number of flights has led to air and noise pollution. Consequently, it has been a matter of debate whether or not this occurrence should be curbed by increasing taxation by the government. We all know that people prefer to travel by air as it is much more convenient than other modes of transport. One can reach the destination faster. Also, the train journey of 1-2 days becomes inconvenient for many people. Hence, they prefer flight over any other modes of transport. This has created an increased demand for passenger flights. Also, the cost has come down within the reach of the common people. Though there are multiple advantages of air travel, what common people cannot see is the effect the planes can leave behind. The increased number of passenger flights have created air traffic. Every plane traveling from one place to another leaves its residue and other chemicals in the atmosphere. Though we cannot hear the noise from the earth down below, it is heavily contributing to the noise pollution. These things need to be stopped soon. Increasing the price or the flight fare will not help. This will not only affect the airline industry but will affect the tourism industry nationally and globally. People will travel less because traveling will not be convenient for many. In conclusion, I would like to say that the negative outcomes of growing air traffic are evident and have to be acknowledged. However, restraining the growth of this field is not a feasible remedy. Alternatives need to be found to tackle the situation.

The reason being low cost and minimum travel time. The increase in demand is giving birth to an increased number of passenger flights. With the increased number of flights, the air and the noise pollution is also increasing. There has been a debate whether increasing the rate of the low cost flight stops this air traffic and pollution. I believe that increasing the flight fare will not tackle the situation. It might reduce the number of flights and passengers, but will also give birth to many other problems. The lesser number of flights will definitely decrease the air and the noise pollution created by passenger flights. The airports will also be able to utilize less space. This will help people to find lands to settle in. However, an increase in flight fares will definitely take a toll on the airline industry. Thousands of people working in this industry will be affected. Increasing the price will result in a lesser number of people. Less passengers means fewer flights and lesse flights means fewer jobs. Not only this, the tourism industry of every state and country will be affected. People will visit other states or countries less due to the increased flight fares. Simply increasing taxes and reducing business for the airlines might seem to improve the pollution. But will have unfavorable effects on other concerns of the society. To stop and control one problem, we cannot and should not give birth to many other problems. Hence, the government and the airline industry needs to find other alternatives to solve the problem of pollution
