Advantages and Disadvantages of Making Children do Exams IELTS Writing Task 2 consists of three sample answers provided below. The task requires the candidates to provide a tentative and argumentative answer for the question. The sample answers comprises two parts: Introduction and body. The introduction is a brief description about the topic. The body contains argumentative statements and tentative answers to support the test-taker's perspective.
IELTS writing task 2 evaluates candidates based on the knowledge and views they have expressed. The areas that candidates are assessed on are grammar, vocabulary, and style. IELTS writing score is marked based on band scores. The band scores range from 0 to 9. Assessment is important to check the learning of a student. It helps.the student to improve at certain areas and subjects. Also, teachers are able to teach more effectively. Assessments can be done in the form of examinations or projects and regular coursework. Formal examinations are best to boost a student's confidence. It helps the student to get prepared for a further competitive world. But it might sometimes result in a stressful environment and health issues. There are many advantages and disadvantages of formal examinations. Children have more and more tests and exams at schools. Sometimes starting from the age of five or six eight up until the age of 18. At the end the result is given. Students get to know the point of weakness and strength. So that he/she can improve at certain points.
Position is also determined on the basis of grades acquired by the student. It can motivate students to acquire a higher position or maintain that position. It boosts the confidence of the student and motivation is increased. It also helps them to be persistent with determination. But sometimes it has a negative effect on the mind of the children. Grades don't matter in life. The skills and knowledge acquired is of greater importance. But students get too involved to acquire higher grades that they stop caring about their health. They stop getting involved in physical activities. When they get lower grades it might be an emotional damage for them. They might get stressed and mentally unstable.
However, this approach is stressful for students. During exams and tests students get too pressured and stressed. They might be facing some family or personal issues but still they have to give exams and get good grades.
To conclude, examinations and tests are a good way to know about a student's skills and talents. Also, it tells about the academic intelligence level of the student. But whole life does not depend upon grades. Knowledge is more important than grades. If a student's health is getting affected then this approach might be harmful.

In modern education, assessment is of greater importance. Students are assessed on the basis of their performance. Performance can be seen through formal examinations or regular projects and competitions. Examinations are taken from an early age of six to seven and goes upto till 18. However, there are many advantages and disadvantages of examinations. I will be listing such merits and demerits below.
Starting with the advantages, the first and foremost advantage is to prepare students for upcoming challenges. They are prepared to face challenges and competitions. It is a good way to boost their self confidence and self dependency. Also, to check their learning and knowledge students have to give examinations. Examinations can be assessed in the form of monthly assignments, weekly tests or projects.
Advantage also includes that they learn to rectify their shortfall. They learn to improve their mistakes and turn their weakness into strength. It provides them the opportunity to become the best version of themselves. A Child also learns to adjust into various life situations. Also, to flexibly face challenges.he learns analytical skills and time management skills.
There are some disadvantages too which must not be ignored. Students get too worried and stressed about grades that their health gets affected. They Stop eating and playing. They start focusing only on studies. Parents also must be blamed for the same. Parents pressurise students to acquire higher grades which make them scared and stressed. Students must enjoy examinations rather than getting scared. They are only scared about the judgement they will face on the basis of Their grades.
To conclude, students must be provided with an adequate environment to give examinations. They must not be stressed or anxious about grades. They should be guided that grades do not define who they are. It is just a number that has no value nowadays.

It is a matter of discussion that children must be allowed to give examinations from an early age or not. There are many views on the same argument. Examinations are important for everyone. We have to appear for different examinations throughout our lives. It might be related to career, friends, family, education etc. But the formal examinations of school have a lot of advantages and disadvantages. I will be listing a few major ones from them. So below are the merits and demerits of examinations.
According to many people, exams are the best way to know the ability and talents of a child. Exams might help a student gain clarity about his strengths and weaknesses. Also, it helps a student to choose a particular point of interest. It increases the confidence of students. It makes them learn to handle competing and challenging situations of life. Examinations do not necessarily have to be written. They can be formal or project based. In project based examinations students get assessed on a regular basis. They get flexible with the competitions. It motivates them to be determined and hardworking.
However, it might have some Ill-effects on the student's health. Students get too stressed about their grades. They just focus on grades rather than understanding the concepts. They try to prove their intelligence in terms of grades. Teachers judge them on the basis of their scores. They feel scared about what the judgement would be. This is the wrong way. They get demotivated by acquiring less scores. Their ment stability is also affected. Mental peace and stability is important.
To conclude, rather than grades they must be told about their weak points. They should be personally consulted rather than getting scores in front of everyone. It makes them feel ashamed of themselves. Many teachers insult them which is harmful for every child's mental health. Mental health should not be affected. But schools and teachers are more concerned about grades rather than student's health.
