Band 6 Answer

The line graph contrasts the million tonnes of acid raids that four different sectors in England exposed between 1991 and 2007.

With the notable exception of the data's stability in the transport and communication sectors. It appears that most of these sectors' acid rain emissions decreased over this time.

The quantity of acid rain created by utilities in 1991 was far larger than that produced by rest, with an estimated 3.4 million tonnes produced. With over 2 million tonnes produced, other industries came in second. Only about 600.000 tonnes were reported for the other industries.

The line graph shows the changes in acid rain emissions in the UK between 1990 and 2007 from four main sources. Including transportation and communication, power, gas, and water supply, domestic use, and other supplies.

Over the course of the 17-year period, the overall sum of acid rain pollutants dropped. While the amount of emissions from the supply of electricity, gas, and water decreased significantly. Those from transportation and communication remained constant.

With around 3.4 million tons at the start of the period, the UK's electricity, gas, and water supplies were the primary contributors to acid rain emissions. 2 million tons of the emissions were produced by other industrial sectors. The emissions from the other two categories, residential and transportation and communication. Were relatively modest at 0.7 million and 0.6 million tons, respectively.

Electricity, gas, and fresh water contributed significantly during a 17-year period to a reduction in emissions. That reached precisely 0.5 million tons in 2007. Other industries and home sectors also displayed a gradual decline in emissions. With the former going from 2 million to 1.2 million tons and the latter from 0.5 million to 0.1 million tons. From 1990 to 2002, transport and communication exhibited a consistent, stable trend. Which was then followed by a minor increase to 1 million tones in 2006 before reverting to the initial number of roughly 0.6 millions of tones.
