Describe a Quiz Program or Game Show on TV Cue Card

How did you know about it?

Derek O'Brien, known as the quiz master, presided over the competition that was broadcast on television; Hamid Sayani served as the first quiz master. Participants in the programme included people who had excelled in their own schools and had been recognised for their abilities. They were proficient in both Hindi and English speaking and understanding.

How is it organized?

I used to be in awe of how smart the students from the various schools were. The students' depth of knowledge captivated me and taught me about various topics at the same time.

Explain what do you think it is worth watching?

Since then, I've been a fan of the quiz shows and have always admired how the students used to respond to the questions so quickly and within a set time limit. I was inspired and motivated to learn about general knowledge questions that covered a variety of topics from various fields by the Cadbury Bournvita Quiz Contest.

How did you know about it?

My interest however was further enhanced when I started watching Kaun Banega Crorepati which is an Indian quiz show on television which is telecasted every day from Monday to Friday at 9PM. The show includes questions from different fields including current affairs, history, films and TV shows, flora and fauna and even general knowledge.

How is it organized?

The question comes with multiple choice questions including four choices of answers. In order to consider help for the participants, quite a few options include, phone a friend, 50:50, and expert recommendations which the participants can use in order to deal with the questions and answers to which they are not confident about.

Explain what do you think it is worth watching?

The show has been hosted by Amitabh Bachhan since the first season and it now consists of eight seasons in total. I have been able to understand the scheme of the show where the participants can win a prize money of as much as Rs 3 crore and as less as Rs 5,000. The show has motivated me to learn more about different areas and fields and I have been able to enhance my knowledge effectively.

How did you know about it?

The quiz show is of British origin which mainly has been hosted by David Briggs, Mike Whitehill and Steven Knight. The questions are typically based on multiple choices thereby providing different options to the participants which they can respond to without having any specific time bound.

How is it organized?

Participants are supposed to win large cash prizes with each correct answer while the prize money increases with the level of the competition. Apparently, I have been able to enhance my knowledge and ideas regarding the type of questions and the sphere that the questions are based on.

The quiz show has been extremely popular internationally whereby it has gained large audience attention in the last 24 years of its existence. With the help of the quiz show I have been able to gather the courage to participate in live quiz shows that were held in my city and have won awards for the same.
